Best Class C Motorhomes

For most of us, the classic shape of a motorhome is the Class C. These vacation masters are built on a heavy truck or van frame and have the distinctive bunk over the cab. They tend to be a bit smaller than the Class A motorhomes, but offer no less luxury. They often prove to be better handling machines for those unfamiliar with driving a motorhome and are the choice for RV rental businesses. These mighty machines hold their value well and open a whole new door to adventure and relaxation. Here are five of the best Class C Motorhomes you can find for under $100,000.

2017 Thor Motor Coach Quantum RS26

The Thor Quantum series of motorhomes is a giant leap ahead of the competition in terms of quality and value. Thor designed these machines to be as luxurious as possible, yet remain more affordable than many would imagine, based on what you get when you open the door. The RS26 comes standard with a Ford chassis and the Triton V10 engine, but a Chevy chassis package is available. Inside you’ll find 84-inch high ceilings, a single slide-out section, air conditioning and hardwood cabinets. The RS26 series starts out at $99,339.

One stay in the Freelander and you know you will. This makes the Freelander an exceptional value in the Class C arena. Built on a durable one-ton Ford chassis, the Coachmen comes in at just under 30 feet in length with a 20-foot awning. You’ll find the Freelander easy to maintain and even easier to use. Three slide-out sections expand the space on this RV that measures just over 27 feet long on the road. Built on the mighty Ford E450 chassis and powered by a Triton V10, the Winnie floats down the road smoothly. 2017 Jayco Redhawk 26XD

2017 Jayco Redhawk 26XD

While other RV brands tout luxury features, and Jayco has them as well, there is something that sets the Redhawk apart from some other Class C motorhomes – ride quality. Jayco understands that luxury at the destination is one thing, but you have to have a comfortable ride getting there. That’s where its J-Ride technology comes in. Jayco adds Hellwig helper springs to the suspension along with rubber mounts to isolate noise and vibration. Engineers balance the drivetrain and add stabilizer bars to help with body roll when cornering. Add in a standard back up camera and you’ve got exceptional control to go along with a comfortable stay. The 26XD with three slide-outs and loads of comfort has an MSRP of $95,948.

2017 Forest River Forester TS 2391

The Forester TS series from Forest River diverts from the usual chassis and engine combination and is built on the Ford Transit van frame with an Ecoboost V-6 engine.
