However, it is entirely possible to enjoy a good Class A motorhome that is less expensive than you might think. Here are five of the best cheap Class A motorhomes that we think you would enjoy.

Best Cheap Class A Motohomes

One way to save money on a good Class A motorhome is to go with a smaller unit. The Axis RUV from Thor is a great, compact Class A that comes in at a total overall length of 27-feet. It will sleep up to five quite comfortably with a main master bedroom and a 72-inch Dream dinette sleeper that uses the single slide out. The Axis is powered by the industry-standard 6.8-liter Ford Triton V-10 motor. It comes with a built-in generator as standard equipment and is pre-wired for all the conveniences you could ask for, including satellite TV. Among the best cheap Class A motorhomes, these carry an MSRP of $111,300, but looking around the internet, we found several for under $70,000.

Forest River Georgetown 3 Series GT3 31B3

Forest River Georgetown

Normally you’d expect that to make this list of the best cheap Class A motorhomes, it would have to be a small unit. That isn’t exactly the case with this beauty from Forest River. The Georgetown GT3 31B3 measures out at almost 32 feet long and is loaded with luxury. With one massive slide out that is basically the entire left side of the RV, the GT3 sleeps up to eight comfortably. It has a full master bedroom with a full bathroom with a stand-up, stand-alone shower. It comes standard with two televisions, a Pioneer stereo system and much more. It is powered by the standard Ford Triton V-10 gas engine and is actually built on a Ford Superduty frame, making it a very durable motorhome that will retain its value well. The GT3 carries an MSRP of $128,529, but as you may have guessed, they can be found quite readily for well under $100,000.

Another option built on a Ford Superduty chassis and powered by the industry standard Triton V10 engine is the Alante from Jayco. It sleeps up to six comfortably and comes in at just under 32 feet long. It has two slide outs, with one being for the queen-size bed in the master bedroom. The other slide-out accommodates the dinette and sleeper sofa. The Alante has a toilet on one side with the freestanding shower a separate unit on the other side of the RV. This is a truly nice motorhome that carries an MSRP of $122,000. We took a look around some of the online RV dealerships and found quite a few for just over $81,000. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask us!

Fleetwood Flair LXE 30U

Fleetwood Flair

When you name your RV model the Flair, like Fleetwood did, you had better back it up with a motorhome that has some flair. Luckily, this unit has plenty and is cheap enough, it makes our list of the best cheap Class A motorhomes with ease. Two big slide outs expand the space in this 31-foot motorhome. One in the rear gives room to the king-size bed in the master bedroom. The other slide-out has the kitchen and dinette. The Flair LXE sleeps up to six. The chassis and drivetrain are a given, being the same as the other Class A motorhomes on this list. You may be put off by the MSRP of $122,932, but seeing as how we found them for less than $87,000 with a simple search, you have some nice bargaining room.

Tiffin Motorhomes Phaeton 40 QBH

Tiffin Motorhomes Phaeton

It seems a little odd to include a model with an MSRP of $342,521 on a list of the best cheap Class A motorhomes, but consider this. Most every other Class A motorhome that exceeds the 40-foot threshold for length has a MSRP of nearly double that amount. Built on a Freightliner platform with a rear-mounted I6 Diesel Pusher six-cylinder motor, the Tiffin houses a massive full bathroom, with two slide-outs just for the master bedroom. Two more slide-outs expand the living space and give plenty of room for up to eight people. If you want to go big, but don’t want to spend big. Check out the Phaeton from Tiffin. It’s really a lot of Class A luxury for the money.
