2019 Forest River Sunseeker LE2250SLE Feature

The Forest River Sunseeker LE 2250SLE is a compact Class C motorhome with plenty of torque for tow duties and impressive storage.

When I was younger, my grandparents bought a Class C motorhome and did what many have done over the years; drove from their home in the Lower 48, up through Canada to Alaska. When they got back from a long trip north, we used their camper to do some much shorter trips closer to home. It wasn’t a big Class C RV and I remember how maneuverable it was. That put a special place in my heart for smaller Class C RVs and probably what drew me to the Forest River Sunseeker LE 2250SLE.

Airstream Flying Cloud

The 2019 Airstream Flying Cloud 23FB retains the classic look of Airstreams of old, but is full of modern amenities and boasts a smart floorplan.

Growing up, there was this weird camper trailer that my mom owned, but she kept it over at my grandparents’ farm. It was long, silver and kind of weird looking. I wasn’t allowed to play in it and we didn’t have it for long before my mom sold it off in favor of a motorhome. She regretted doing that because the motorhome was nothing but headaches, but she said several times that we just didn’t have a way to tow the trailer anymore, so it made sense. Now that I’m older, I really regret her doing that. I would have loved to still have that vintage Airstream Travel Trailer.

Rockwood Geo Pro Feature

The Rockwood Geo Pro is a compact and lightweight travel trailer that also acts as a toy hauler. This trailer looks ready for your next off-road adventure.

I’m not going to lie. When I think about RVs, I tend to focus on the ones that fit a more adventurous lifestyle. I can’t help it. My favorite camp sites tend to the ones most would call “inaccessible.” It’s not just camping, either. I tend to enjoy going places that are hard to reach. My current truck, while a modest Toyota Tacoma by many standards, was chosen because of its toughness and durability, along with legendary off-road capability. My wife, however, is more pragmatic. She’s drawn to the crossover-type vehicles that are known more for fuel economy and environmental friendliness. There are travel trailers that fit both of our needs. One that truly sticks out, and that may very well end up on our future purchase plan list, is the Rockwood Geo Pro.

Winnebago Revel Side Door

The 2019 Winnebago Revel is a Class B motorhome built around a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, but with the added bonus of four-wheel drive.

It may be the time of year, but I have a bad habit of always wanting to go places I can’t normally go. By this, I mean, while many would think of buying a new RV and exploring the many amazing campgrounds and parks across North America, I have this burning desire to go a little deeper into the wilds and find those places that are harder to access with a standard motorhome. I guess that is one of the many things that draws me to the Winnebago Revel Class B motorhome. This is one of those RVs that lets you really get out and explore, regardless of the driving conditions.

EarthRoamer XV-LTS Feature

If money was no object, my RV of choice would be the rugged EarthRoamer XV-LTS – an RV that can go where no others can follow.

Every week, we talk about amazing destinations, or the best RVs in a given category. We certainly hope you get some useful information from this blog. While talking with my kids recently as we walked the aisles at another local RV show, my son asked me a question that made me pause a little bit. He asked if I could buy any new RV on the market today and price was no object, which one would I want to get. Granted he asked this question right after we had just toured a sweet $300,000+ Class A motorcoach. My wife chimed in before I answered, and said she would be leaning toward the Class A. I thought about it for a minute and said that to be honest, I’d have to get an EarthRoamer XV-LTS.
