Winnebago, according to Statistical Surveys, Inc., was the top selling motorhome brand for 2013. Statistical Surveys, Inc. is a retail reporting service based out of Grand Rapids, Mich.
“We are very proud of the continued success of Winnebago in the marketplace and we continue to develop innovative, quality products to promote this iconic American brand,” says Winnebago Industries Vice President of Sales and Product Management Scott Degnan. “We have launched a great motorhome lineup this year, with several brand new, innovative products just entering the marketplace. We believe our new Trend, Viva!, Forza, Solei, and Travato now entering the market will bring us additional incremental growth in the coming year.
Winnebago plans to highlight its Winnebago, Itasca and Winnebago Touring Coach lineups, including the retail debut of several new products at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa, January 15-19, 2014.
Winnebago Vista 36Y
As you would gather from its name, the Vista offers great views from the large front cab windows, or with the large, passenger side picture window looking out from the galley island. This triple slide floorplan also features a StudioLoft drop-down bed in the cab area, new sofa with integrated recliner, three hidden TVs, walk-through bathroom and a luxurious bedroom. The 36Y floorplan is also available in the Sunstar product line.
Winnebago will be unveiling its first full-size, luxury fifth wheel – the Destination – at the 51st annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.
“The new Destination truly lives up to the iconic Winnebago name,” says Winnebago Towables President Johnny Hernandez. “I am very proud of our team and the results of their efforts to push the envelope of traditional fifth-wheel design to achieve a product that all other fifth wheels will soon be measured by.”
Winnebago Industries, Inc. is planning to expand its manufacturing footprint to nearby Lake Mills, Iowa.
Winnebago and the city of Lake Mills have come to an agreement on the five-year lease of the 100,000-square-foot plant formerly owned and operated by Cummins Filtration. The Lake Mills facility will be used for the production of Winnebago’s Class B motorhomes; initially the new Travato model built on the Ram ProMaster chassis.
Winnebago Industries has updated its Sightseer and Sunova Class A lines for 2014 with four floorplans.
This year, LED ceiling lights bring energy efficiency to a coach that already features Corian galley countertops, MCD solar/blackout roller shades and Ultraleather cab seats. The 35G is outfitted with the inLounge extendable sectional sofa and movable inTable. For additional sleeping space, add the StudioLoft drop-down cab bed to any floorplan.
Winnebago Industries’ new Trend motorhome made its debut last week at the Hershey RV Show in Hershey, Pa.
“We had phenomenal interest in the new Winnebago Trend Class C motorhome introduced at Hershey,” says Winnebago Industries Vice President of Sales and Product Management Scott Degnan. “Though small in size, this motorhome made a huge impact at its first retail show. While I was on site at the show, we had a continuous line of people waiting to take their first look at the new Trend, and their response to the vehicle’s unique features was overwhelmingly positive. Downsizers and first time buyers were especially attracted to the compact size and had many positive comments about the creative use of space and the fresh, open feeling of the new interiors.”
Winnebago Industries, Inc. has debuted its new Winnebago Ultralite at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pa.
The all-new Winnebago Ultralite 27RBDS is outfitted with a queen bed with a luxury memory foam mattress, roomy wardrobe, double shower, solid-surface countertops, large pantry and energy-efficient LED lighting. Winnebago says the aerodynamic shape and enclosed underbelly provide exceptional “wind-slip,” reducing drag and increasing fuel economy, while the Stable-Track axle is designed to smooth out the ride and reduce sway caused by crosswinds or passing traffic.
Winnebago Industries has unveiled its 2014 Winnebago Journey and Itasca Meridian product lines. Each model features Corian solid-surface countertops and backsplashes, coffee-glazed hardwood cabinetry and Ultraleather furniture.
As well, these models are built on a Freightliner Maxum Chassis with a lowered rail design that offers more storage – up to 246 cubic feet.
As Winnebago Industries’ flagship Class A gas coach, these are feature-rich motorhomes. Ultraleather furniture, MCD solar/blackout roller shades, and LED lighting are all standard. A restyled front cap, full-body paint, and available Contour windows help complete the package.
