2rvia1127The $789 billion federal economic stimulus package signed into law in February, 2009, included a tax provision for motorhomes that is now set to expire as the year ends.

For the remainder of the calendar year, tax provisions under the stimulus package allow for sales and excise tax deductions for new purchases of qualified motor vehicles, including motorhomes. The deductions are attributable to taxes applying to the first $49,500 of the purchase price. Individuals with an adjusted gross income of up to $125,000 and joint filers with an adjusted gross income of up to $250,000 are eligible for the deduction.

When the calendar year ends on December 31, the tax credit will no longer apply.

Pedata RV Center sees the motorhome industry as a whole becoming more and more mainstream with recent partnerships and features with such common place magazines as Better Homes and Gardens and Budget Travel.

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus/PRWEB) August 22, 2009 – Pedata RV Center sees the RV Industry going more and more mainstream each day. Recently noticed was the summer contests that were hosted by Go RVing in partnership with both Better Homes and Gardens and Budget Travel magazines.

Clint Ethington of Pedata RV Center said, “The fact that two major national magazines co-hosted a summer contest with a major recreational vehicle organization like Go RVing means that RV is definitely now a household name.” Entering the contest qualified individuals and families to win travel prizes as well as request a free video from Go RVing.

Eliza D. of San Antonio, TX said, “I was surprised when I saw the ad with the Go RVing summer contest details in Better Homes and Gardens. And then I smiled because it’s about time that RVing was given the proper respect. And there’s nothing more respectful than a spot in Better Homes and Gardens; at least not in my world.” Eliza D. is a long time subscriber to Better Homes and Gardens and sees it as one of the most “traditional decorating and lifestyle magazines out there.”

Pedata RV Center sees the further publicity created by the contests as a stepping stone that the RV industry can use to further ingratiate itself into the common household. While RV is now a household name…there are still many to convince of the validity of the RV lifestyle.
