Four-season travel trailer sleeps four

The 2018 Lance 1985 is four-season season ready so you can head to the trails for summer hiking or winter skiing. As a mid-sized travel trailer, it sleeps four and is towable by a larger SUV or a pick-up truck, making it a great travel trailer option for a road-trip loving family.

The 2018 Lance 1985 is one of 10 Lance travel trailer floorplans to pick from. It has a gross dry weight of 4045 lbs and a cargo carrying capacity of 1655 lbs adding up to a gross vehicle weight rating of 5700 lbs. The fresh water tank, gray water tank, and black water tank each have a capacity of 45 gallons. It measures 23’3” long, 10’2” tall, and just under 97” wide.

Frameless windows keep the look streamlined, and the large curved window on the front on the trailer is a nice touch, allowing plenty of natural light.

With convenience in mind, there’s a battery hook-up access on each side of the trailer, giving you options when setting up your campsite. Storage space at the front of the trailer has a great pull-out tray with three separate compartments, making it incredibly easy to access items deep inside.

The exterior is aluminum-framed and laminated fiberglass sidewalls, floor, and ceiling. An optional 16’ power awning slides out at the touch of a button and there are no legs to get in the way. It also has a built-in wind sensor and will roll itself away if things start to get a little shaky.

Inside, the cabinetry is made of wood ply, a durable and lightweight wood composite with a nice clean look. There are three décor palettes to choose from so you can customize to suit your taste.

In the kitchen area, the countertop space is maximized with the sink and cooktop covers, as well as a fold-up countertop extension. The stonecast is a generous size and the high rise faucet with pull-out sprayer makes clean-up simpler. A stainless steel appliance suite includes a six-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer, a three-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, and vent hood with light.

The U-shaped dinette can seat a crowd for meals and games, and then converts into a bed for two when it’s time to turn in. Windows on all three sides of the dinette let in lots of natural light, give you great views, and allow for a nice cross breeze. Roll-out storage drawers under the benches give you somewhere to stash kitchen and table linens or whatever else you like.

The entertainment center is positioned so that it can be viewed from any seat in the trailer. Components include a 32” LED television, AM/FM/DVD stereo with Bluetooth compatible interior and exterior speakers.

In the bathroom, which is the full width of the trailer, there is a porcelain foot-pedal toilet, shower with rounded soft door enclosure and a dual pane skylight, stonecast sink, and mirrored medicine cabinet. In addition to the under-sink storage and cabinet, there’s also a good-sized wardrobe with hanging rod and three drawers.

At the front of the trailer, the bedroom area can be blocked off with a privacy curtain. The trailer comes standard with a queen-size spring mattress with pillowtop, and you can opt for a convertible sofa bed so there’s somewhere else to sit, as well as extra storage space. There are nightstands on each side of the bed with drawers, as well as windows for a nice cross-breeze. Tiltable LED reading lights, a shelf up top, and two wardrobe cabinets complete the bedroom area.

The Lance 1985 is a four-season trailer, meant to keep you comfortable on the road year-round. Ceiling hatch covers over the skylight and fan help keep the heat in during the colder months, and the fans and air conditioner cool you down when it’s warm.

The 2018 Lance 1985 starts at about $35,000. For more information, visit www.lancecamper.com.
