Lightweight and affordable folding trailer

Hitch it up and drive away Ė thatís what life with the 2011 Starcraft Centennial Folding Trailer is all about. The Centennial offers the best of both worlds, making it perfect for families that want the ease of lightweight towing and the added convenience of a trailer, so any camping excursion is fun and comfortable.

Sometimes, you get it right the first time Ė and perhaps thatís why the Centennial folding trailer comes in one floorplan, the 3612. This model has an unloaded vehicle weight of 2,840 lbs, an approximate hitch weight of 390 lbs, a cargo carrying capacity of 1010 lbs, a travel length of 17' 8", a campsite length of 25' 8" and an approximate travel height of 66". Donít let its compact size fool you Ė it can sleep six. In the way of water, the Centennial comes with a fresh water capacity (includes water heater ) of 23 gallons, a grey waste water capacity of 7.5 gallons and a black waste water capacity of 5 gallons.

A gold-rated product, tested by TRA Certification Inc., the Centennial is built and tested using a number of environmental factors. Constructed using various sustainable and recyclable materials, this trailer utilizes new building practices that increase green capability and performance. Its energy-efficient design and construction includes the installation of efficient appliances, as well as water-efficient appliances and fixtures. It even takes your health into consideration Ė thanks to its attention to indoor ventilation, Starcraft reduced the use of harmful volatile organic compounds found in RV materials, like carpet, hard flooring, adhesives, sealants, cabinets and insulation.

When youíre out in the wilderness, you wonít worry about the elements making their way indoors Ė the Centennial is built tough. With heavy-duty A-frame construction as a sturdy base, this folding camper is built right from the ground up. A strong floor is made possible by a seamless 5/8Ē Structurwood floorboard with Darco underbelly material thatís double bonded to the steel frame. The walls combine 1 ½Ē thick laminated sidewalls with wooden frames and backers, which ensure this durable structure can handle the toughest conditions. The tent features a patented lifter system that is fully enclosed to protect against rust and debris, and is made using a water-repellent, double-stitched Aqualon material that is backed by a seven-year warranty. The Centennialís domed, fiberglass roof with no center seam lets the rain slide off its top effortlessly. It also features a corrosion-resistant frame, crank-down stabilizer jacks with sand pads for easy installation, E-Z Lube axles, E-Z Store bed supports, gelled hi-gloss fiberglass laminated sidewalls and TorFlex independent torsion axle suspension.

Other exterior features that will make life of the road that much more comfortable include a self-storing screen door and step, tent attachment Velcro around entrance door, an outside shower, lockable baggage doors,  16,000-BTU furnace, high-output marine-grade exterior speakers, powder-coated white bunk-end bows with adjustable tension tent supports and a power roof lift.

With plenty of room to sleep, eat and hang out, the Centennialís interior makes it simple to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Outfitted with Brown Sugar cabinetry thatís adorned with brushed nickel hardware, thereís lots of space to store your essentials. Coordinated furniture, designed and made by Starcraft, blends perfectly into the decor, while wall-to-wall vinyl flooring makes it easy to clean up dirt and mud brought in from the outdoors. Other interior features designed to brighten up your camping experience include privacy curtains for end-bunks, SoftShade window shades and valances, tinted vinyl windows with fine-mesh bug screen, a bar for hanging clothes and ball bearing drawer guides with a full-drawer extension.

When youíre enjoying everything that the great outdoors has to offer, itís hard to imagine spending too much time inside. But when you do have to make your way indoors, you can rest assured that creature comforts are well taken care of. In the lounge area, youíll find coordinated furniture, designed and made by Starcraft, as well as a booth dinette that features non-sliding, 4" deep cushions. For entertainment, it comes with cable TV hookup with RG6 connection and a multi-media sound system with AM/FM/CD player, MP3 input jack and two speakers.

A well-designed kitchen, with a three-burner stove, an oversized oven, a microwave oven double sink and large counter space, offers plenty of room to prepare a home-cooked meal. Other features the kitchen comes equipped with include a 3 cu. ft. gas/electric refrigerator, a 6-gal. water heater, a carry-out dinette table, fluorescent light above sink, a silverware tray and a spice rack.

When itís time to call it a day, thereís lots of room to sleep, thanks to two king-sized beds found on either side of the Centennial. Both come with privacy curtains and flaps that cover edge of bed.

This folding trailer even comes with a fully equipped bathroom. Along with a porta-potti cabinet, you can choose to go with the bath/shower option that features folding hard walls and a cassette toilet.
