Whoever said that you can’t take it with you probably never owned a fifth-wheel RV. Here are five of the best fifth wheel RVs for 2018.

Today’s amazing fifth wheels take luxury and convenience to new levels and things are only getting better. For 2018, the RV industry has once again outdone itself with new features and options to make your new fifth wheel a mobile luxury home-away-from-home.

Take a tour of new fifth wheels at any RV show and you’ll notice several things when looking at the newest models, even between competing brands. One of the biggest trends has to do with décor. There are lots of natural colors being used with the most notable being barnwood gray shades being used in flooring and accents. This matches similar trends in interior home designs.

Another trend is very modern in nature. Most RVs today have expanded Wi-Fi capabilities. This includes onboard electronic Wi-Fi range extenders. This not only lets you work from your RV, but also expands your electronics’ range to your entire campsite. So now if the kids want to play games on their tablets, you can at least make them go sit in the great outdoors while they do it.

Many new RVs and fifth wheels also tap into green energy by being set up for solar energy right from the factory. This cuts down on fossil fuel use and gives you more options for camping in places where hookups may not be easily accessible.

To help you on your way to choosing the right model for you, we’ve put together a list of five of the best fifth wheel RVs for 2018.

2018 Forest River Cardinal 3875FB

The 40-foot Forest River Cardinal 3875RB is luxury on wheels. It has three slideouts for expanded room with standard sleeping capacity for four with a master bedroom and a convertible sofa bed. There are two bathrooms and two recliners standard and an included fireplace. If you can think of some options that sound great for a fifth wheel, it’s probably standard equipment on the Cardinal.

2018 Heartland Pioneer Fifth Wheel PI 322

The Heartland Pioneer PI 322 sets itself apart from other luxury fifth wheels by having more room for people. It has a max sleeping capacity of nine, with a queen suite, three bunk beds and a convertible sofa sleeper. That gives you plenty of room for big family adventures and you even have space to bring along a few friends. It comes with two bathrooms and two slideouts, packing a lot of features and comfort into just under 37 feet.

2018 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS

Next up on our list of some of the best fifth wheel RVs is the Reflection by Grand Design, which is a 35.5-foot fifth wheel with three slideout sections for expanded room. It sleeps six total with a queen suite and two convertible sofa sleepers. Theatre seating and a free-standing dinette area make the Reflection a great RV for entertaining guests while in camp.

2018 Keystone Cougar X-Lite 25RES

The Keystone Cougar is exactly what you want if you’re looking for a well-appointed fifth-wheel RV that is a bit easier to tow. At only 28.9 feet in total length, the 7,035lb Cougar is lighter in weight, making it a good option for those towing long distances. It sleeps six with a queen suite and two sofa sleepers and has two slide outs. One large bathroom with a shower/bath compliments the RV.

2018 Keystone Montana High Country 310RE

Go to any RV show and you’ll notice that the Montana fifth wheels from Keystone always seem to have a large crowd of people checking them out. That’s because they are very nicely equipped and well made. A luxurious master suite is a key point to the High Country. Every aspect of the RV is made for comfort. At a recent RV show, I asked an elderly couple about this very RV, as they were sitting in it when I walked through. The woman laughed and said that it was nicer than any house they’d ever owned, so they decided to buy it. “Let the grandkids fight over it when we’re gone.”
