2015 Thor Hurricane 32N Review
The Thor Hurricane Class A motorhome is making a comeback. Floorplans with full slideouts and open spaces highlight the 2015 models.
Six floorplans are available to choose from. We decided to explore the 32N because of its large bedroom and intelligent use of space. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 20,500 lbs and a gross combined weight rating of 26,000 lbs. It has an exterior length of 32’ 10”, exterior height of 12’ 2”, exterior width of 99” and interior height of 82”. Its awning size is 18’. For liquids, the Hurricane 32N has a fresh water capacity of 50 gallons, black water capacity of 43 gallons, gray water capacity of 43 gallons and water heater capacity of six gallons.
Driven by a 6.8L Triton V10 engine with 362 horsepower, the Thor Hurricane lives up to its powerful name. Its strength is magnified with the Ford F-53 Super Duty chassis, featuring a fully welded tubular steel floor system along with a fully welded tubular aluminum roof. Other durable features include sidewall cage construction with a vacu-bond laminated roof, walls and floors – insulated with high-density block foam. The Thor Hurricane’s roof is crown and TPO. As well, the 32N boasts one-piece fiberglass front and rear caps, along with a one-piece windshield.
For looks alone, the 2015 Thor Hurricane will turn heads. HD-Max exterior with a graphics package and premium durable gel-coat sidewalls is a striking combination. If you want to go all out, then request the full-body paint with premium durable gel-coat sidewalls. The Hurricane is equipped with automatic hydraulic leveling jacks, which come with touchpad controls. A motor coach Mega-Storage compartment and side-hinged flush mount radius luggage doors offers generous storage. The power patio awning comes with integrated LED lighting. To keep you safe, the entry door has a deadbolt lock.

The cockpit is as comfortable as it is functional. The touchscreen AM/FM dash radio is equipped with a CD Player, Bluetooth and mirror display. For extra safety, the heated exterior mirrors come with integrated side cameras, while a backup camera will help prevent dings and scratches when backing into tight spaces. Thor equipped the dash workstation with 110V and 12V outlets. To make long journeys as comfortable as possible, the captains’ chairs recline and swivel. You can even request a six-way power seat. When you’re ready for a snack break, park your Hurricane and share a meal at the stow-away coffee table, sitting between the captain’s chairs. Of course, the driver and passenger have three-point seat belts. To ensure safety, the Thor Hurricane comes with fog lights, tilt steering wheel, map light, sun visors and conversation mirrors. Store your drink in a drink holder and when you’re finally parked, roll down the windshield privacy shade.
When you walk into your wheeled abode, you’ll feel right at home. Aside from the cockpit, the flooring throughout the entire space is made of residential vinyl. LED ceiling lighting keeps the place bright, while privacy shades block daylight. Certain areas in the RV have passenger seatbelts for added safety on the road. Raised panel cabinetry features glass inserts on select upper cabinets. All hardware has a nickel finish and all drawers have full extension drawer guides. You can enjoy breakfast at the dream dinette booth, which sits beside a 32” LED television. The dinette also shares a space with the sofa, which has an airbed, and a drop-down overhead bunk. When it comes to functionality, the Thor Hurricane delivers. You can host small parties and have sleepovers because the Hurricane can accommodate six people comfortably.

Hosting guests means dishing out food. The kitchen is designed for cooking meals and preparing appetizers. It features ample space for chopping and a large double-bowl kitchen sink for washing, which comes with a single handle faucet and sprayer. Solid surface countertops have a designer backsplash. Store food in the double-door refrigerator and cook it on the three-burner gas cooktop, equipped with an oven. If you’re lazy, reheat leftovers in the microwave oven. The pullout pantry is spacious and allows you to store all your cereal boxes and emergency canned goods.
Before you head to bed, spend some time in the spacious bathroom. RV showers will finally feel fulfilling – the shower is equipped with a glass door and gives you enough room to scrub and move. With a skylight and a power vent, the bathroom will bring in natural light and take out natural odors. The bathroom has a foot flush porcelain toilet and a sink for all your grooming needs.

When you’re finally ready to get your beauty sleep, escape to the bedroom. Outfitted with a king-size bed that features a bedspread, shams and designer headboard, you’ll feel like royalty under your blankets. There are no excuses for a messy room because storage space seems limitless. Two wardrobes, a dresser and two nightstands give you ample space to put everything in its place. Entertainment junkies could even request a 24” LED television.
