2017 Aliner expedition off road
By Linda (I am an Owner) on Aug 17, 2016We have had this trailer for about 4 months now have used it 3 times and have had major issues with everything from poor workmanship to water supply lines rupturing. Here is a list of the things being worked on right now ( plus the refrigerator latch was not installed so every time you moved it everything ... fell out and exploded in the trailer) 1 ruptured supply line on toilet ( possible subfloor damage from all the water) Fix: Dometic sent the appropriate parts and we have fixed 2 most of the screws falling out on dinette by the door and the toilet surround Fix: we have found the source of the loose screws (toilet walls) and we have reinstalled appropriate screws to withstand travel vibrations 3 veneer peeling off at toilet and also many of the support boards ( most the of the veneer in the trailer is bad its either peeling or wrinkled looks cheap) Fix: apply wood finish trim tape from top to bottom of the problem section 4 damaged paneling from boring holes for electrical and plumbing Fix: trim away loose hanging debris and apply trim tape around hole for a cleaner finish 5 roof leaks really bad on the kitchen side ( you can see daylight in the area) the roof on unit is not symmetrical Fix: added seal to the peak of the roof where the two sections seal together. Makes for a better seal. 6 heater thermostat is very difficult to toggle on Fix: there is no fix. This is normal on all Atwood thermostats 7 back clear vinyl window’s zipper is sewn in making it inoperable Fix: we were able to trim the threading to open up the zipper windows, a small stitch job 8 side window tie was stitched in ( was able to pull it loose ) Fix: same as above 9 Stove set screws are not flush and lid hardware fell off Fix: reinstalled hardware and insured a tight finish for travel 10 back roof when closed is hitting the shock on the left side ( street side ) right side has about a half in clearance Fix: adjustment and roof seal fix has corrected 11 curtains on kitchen side do not close all the way Fix: adjust curtain placement on Velcro strip 12 front left side has a portion of paneling that does not meet and it was attempted to be covered up with caulking Fix: PLEASE GIVE ME FURTHER DETAIL OF THIS ISSUE. We do not see it 13 cannot take trailer on dusty road due to seal around door does not work so trailer fills with dirt Fix: remove and reinstall thicker seal Long story short if I knew this before or seen a review like this I would not have purchased it....Rating breakdown
