Check Your Furnace Ducting!! Important!!
By Chris Hiner (I am an Owner) on Aug 13, 2011We purchased our new 2011 Rubicon 2100 on August 4th. We want to get the word out that ours did not have any furnace exhaust ducting to the outside. Our dealer found 2 more Rubicons on the lot with the same problem. If you have purchased this model or the 2600, look under the refrigerator service ... door for an exhaust vent. I am very worried there will be some tragedies as camping season goes into cooler weather and people start using furnaces on these units. We've contacted the NHTSA, but they say it will take 3 - 4 weeks to investigate. We called Duthchmen, and could only leave a message, and they did not return the call as of yet.Rating breakdown

Great design, shoddy workmanship
By Sean Whitmarsh (I am an Owner) on Jul 06, 2011The good: The layout is like no other toy hauler I saw in the Los Angeles RV Show. It’s about time someone built a small, affordable toy hauler that didn’t use diamond plate and racing stripes as the interior motif. Lots of big windows, possibly at the expense of storage. But the storage is ample ... for me and my wife. The front storage compartment is very big, but access is a little difficult with the optional generator in place (a trade-off). Small trailers often don’t have wardrobe closets, but this one has it. The cabinets are strategically shallow, striking a good balance between living space and storage space. The front bedroom was the best layout of any short trailer I saw. The two couches touch in the middle when made out to a bed, making it plenty big for several small kids or two friendly adults. Super light ramp and a very shallow ramp angle makes loading a breeze. The bad: Shoddy workmanship, expected in a trailer in this price range. Cabinet cavities are filled with sawdust cut-outs. The TV attaches in the bedroom and outside as well as in the living area (good!) but only gets antenna in the two auxiliary locations. Fixed with a Radio Shack RF Modulator. There is a cold water sprayer, like a garden hose. Dutchmen said, "That's the shower!" I had a shower added. The linoleum floor bubbled up in three places, and Dutchmen would only pay to patch the bubbles with pieces of matched linoleum (unresolved). Plastic fenders already warped (weather?) and rubbing on wheels. Stripped screws EVERYWHERE. Expect to do lots of repairs yourself because you'll get tired of fighting the warranty.Rating breakdown
