Great Trailer
By Scott Miller (I am an Owner) on Jul 13, 2012This is our frist year in the Aspen Trail. A big bump up from a 19' hybrid with no slides. We are VERY happy with out decision. We have the upgraded package, so power awning, tounge jack, skylight, solid surface counter, upgraded pull out faucet, faux leather everywhere, upgraded wheels, 2-30# propain ... tanks. The unit is well thought out, and for the price is amazing. Our new unit was just over $16,100. PROS: Spacious floor plan, Tall ceilings 6'10" vs. most at 6'6", Huge full depth slide with 6' interior height, central control panel (I hate when rigs place the controls all over the place), pull-out sprayer and stainless steel sink, faux leather everywhere, skylight in living area, large holding tanks (42g for black and grey each, 48g fresh), huge pass through storage (I can even get my table and grill in there), easy to tow with a F-150 standard tow package and the 5.4 engine, lots of interior storage, minimal carpet (easier to clean), great cabinet color, metal draw slides with a nice locking feature so they don't open in transit, large windows, 4 speakers that are actually decent for a TT. Decent 26" LCD with a good picture. Touch panel stereo/DVD player with NOAA weather stations, Larger Air conditioner (15K), Works great. Just camped in 100+ heat, and it was nice and cold in the unit. Basically we love this unit. The king dinet is great, and can be converted to a regular dinet as well. Great option. Haven't seen that in any other rig. CONS: No medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Has side wardrobes in bedroom - would like the cabinets over the bed too, instead of a shelf, Had to replace the vent/fan in bathroom... Tiny fan - replaced with fantastic fan, very easy to do, AV2 input on TV doesn't work, AV1 works perfect - not a big deal, replaced the standard shower head with oxygentics - AWESOME!!!, no hot water on outside shower, only cold water spayer, (but a sprayer is nice), The cons are so minor, they are almost not worth mentioning. We love this unit, and it is like a home a away from home for us. I would like a flood light on the back side of the unit for night time set up and dish washing, but no big deal. We like to say, we don't camp, we relocate. We simply bring our summer home with us. A couple other mods I have done, we added the large folding assist grab handles on each door, and we we added struts to the under the bed storage to hold it up when accessing it. Also, the unit has a laudry shoot, I love it, but it was a pain because it was a square cut into the bottom of the wardrobe closet, and hard to put back in place when hanging clothes got in the way. Installed a couple of cabinet door hinges and a handle, and now it works like a dream. I should have done that on the first trip out. Hope this helps other potential buyers, The attention to detail seems there, the little things that make the unit super nice!!! Colors, cabinets, trim, all top notch. It feels like a $30K plus camper for 1/2 the price. We learned there is no such thing as a perfect camper, but this one is close.Rating breakdown
