Living with the Wolf Pup 17RR
By Terry Rivard (I am an Owner) on Oct 08, 2011We bought the 17RR Wolf Pup 2012 year to haul motorcycle and or four wheeler and to haul cargo, it has plenty of room to haul i four wheeler or my 1200 custom HD. The unit tows very well tracks straight, light weight hitch about 385lbs. I have a weight distribution hitch and sway control, you could ... probably get by without it but where we live in Wyoming this is needed. Our unit is a 2012, it has upgraded features from 2011, it has a Digital Antenna so less roof clutter and no crank up or down, it has side mount A/C not on roof again less weight on roof, lower profile less wind resistance and it works great, disadvantage here you loose i cabinet door. It has the newer hot water heater with both electric and gas, electric works great saves on propane use, side mount awning, don't get one without it as roll up style that comes with it is a big pain to put up and down. This unit will sleep 4, but perfect for 2-3,has adequate storage we are on a 2 week trip working fine for 2. The audio system with dvd and Flat screen is great, the only thing i added a tilt and swivel mount this is a must have. The only complaint i have so far is it needs a spare tire carrier as under front bed it is hard to get out, and takes up about 50% of storage, this i will correct when we get home as other small trailers have under chassis mounts so will either buy or build one. So far it is a good trailer with a lot of features for the money and works great for 2 people.Rating breakdown

A Great Toy Hauler
By Douglas J. Smith (I am an Owner) on Dec 24, 2010Unbelievable value for the money. Tows like a dream with my V-6 Nissan Frontier. If your needs are for just one large toy, this is your RV. We can take enough groceries, supplies, water and either our 4 wheeler or Motorcycle for a week's stay. The couch, when in the sitting position, has a slight rake ... to the seat back and is remarkably comfortable for long periods. If you like your wife or companion, sleeping on the small (44") double bed is very comfortable. If you don't need the upper bunk, it makes a great storage shelf with the mattress removed. We used a $12.00 electric heater on a low setting and were warm as toast for the nights we were on the road at temperatures down to 22 degrees. The additional weight capacity after the normal (groceries, water, etc.) is very ample for a rig this small. The fresh water, grey and black tanks are larger (50, 31 & 41 gal. respectively) than some much larger Toy Haulers. We had to add a tilting swivel TV mount(less than $25.00) to be able to view the TV. We also changed the high profile toilet to a low profile due to the depth of the one-piece shower pan. We wish they had offered the spare tire in a matching rim. The cost of replacing the plain black steel rim to a matching mag wheel was about $150.00 including mounting. Now I have a new steel wheel which I don't need. They could have passed on the additional cost for $50.00 to 75.00 . The rubber roof is the ONLY BIG disappointment. This is our 28th RV and I cannot understand WHY the RV industry has gone to rubber roofs. It must help keep the cost down. Metal or fiberglass last virtually forever and almost anyone can repair them. Rubber roofs are hard to keep clean, come loose if not installed properly, can tear easily, are expensive to repair and it takes a professional to fix them. Other than the rubber roof, we think the quality, design, appointments and capacities make the "Wolf Pup" the best (and maybe the only) buy for a small toy hauler in today's market.Rating breakdown
