New RV owner
By Jonathan (I am an Owner) on Aug 03, 2013As a new RV owner I have found this model to meet almost all of my familly's needs. The election criteria I applied were as follows;- Light trailer (< 4000 GVWR)that would handle our 5 member troop. The bunk beds for the 2 boys were a big selling feature.- A functional bathroom to handle the wee hours ... needs. - Nice style that would meet my wife's wants. - Good price. - Appliances to handle those rainy days indoor cooking needs. Findings; The 195BG met everything with 9/10 rating with one exception. The fridge is a std bar fridge that runs on 110AC only. Initially I didn't concider this to be a big deal as we intended to be at parks that provided AC however as we started wishing to camp at some of our old tent camping grounds that did not provide the AC I found myself looking for ways to retro fit the trailer for a 3 way fridge. This is where I found that the trailer didn't even provide the capability to upgrade as the services weren't there to use. I wish that the DC & propane lines were at least provisioned for an easy upgrade rather than me having to spend hours trying to see how best to retrofit. I'm still not even sure it is doable. In poking around I did find that the manufacturing process could use a little post build cleanup as well. I found saw dust everywhere in the cabinets & wood knockouts left in a few places. One was on the little gas heater. I have to believe that this was a big fire risk. Other than that, with 3 trips under our belt this year, we love our new trailer & look forward to many more.Rating breakdown
