It's been great!!
By Patrick Beck (I am an Owner) on Oct 08, 2019We have had our 285BHS since March 2017. It has performed well. No issues or warranty work. Some minor trim issues but nothing serious that couldn't be fixed with a stapler.Rating breakdown

Happy Camper
By kst42 (I am an Owner) on Nov 16, 2017We bought our 2018 Vibe 285bhs in July. Love it. It had some very minor issues that were quickly repaired by dealer under warranty (nothing out of the ordinary). I think a switch on the stabalizers needed replacing, the legs on the couch were not the correct size, and a few small cosmetic issues. ... All of these were repaired within a few days. The trailer is perfect for our needs (family of 4 with 8 year old twins). There is plenty of storage (one of our draws to this floorplan). A huge pantry, full size residential fridge. I love the main entrance door is further back on the camper, allowing the kitchen to wrap around, and a totally enclosed master bed. I like the enclosed front look with the propane and batteries hidden. There is a also a ton of storage in the front pass through. I would buy this trailer again without hesitation. My only real complaint I was told going in - and that is the electric stabalizers are junk. They work, and serve their purpose to some extent - but seeing as how there has to be some side to side play in the stabilizers (they both descend from the same rail) for uneven ground - it doesn't seem you can ever get all of shake out. X chocks and anderson levelers have helped tremendously. But I am likely going to remove, sell and add traditional scissor stabilizers. I alos wish it had a shower, rather than small tub - but most bunkhouses do not.Rating breakdown

Not Impressed
By Cema (I am an Owner) on Aug 31, 2017We recently purchased a new 2018 Forest River Vibe Extreme Lite 285BHS. During the walk through at the dealer, we found wiring at the tongue to be exposed, unsealed vapor barrier under the side, exposed wood support under the slide, 2 rips in the decorative wall covering, loose paneling on the cabinets, ... and sliding door to bunk room fell off track during walk through. All of these issues were fixed prior to delivery, except the exposed wood that we ended up sealing ourselves. On our first camping trip, we discovered the hot water heater wasn't working on propane or electric, the front A/C unit was not cooling, an empty drawer in the kitchen had broken while on the road, and 3 out of 4 window shades would not raise and lower with 2 of the hold down brackets coming out of the wall. We brought it to a closer dealer (still a 2.5 hrs round trip drive) to have the A/C and hot water heater repaired. They replaced the A/C and charged us over $100 to repair the hot water heater saying the selling dealer should have caught it. On our next trip, the hot water heater was still not working and we discovered the decorative panel behind the master bedroom bed to be coming detached from the wall and both sides of the kitchen sink are leaking at the drains. We feel the quality of this unit is sub-par to put it nicely. We will NEVER recommend a Forest River to anyone. We wonder what else we will find during our next trip. We purchased this unit to be our home for a year or two as we will be on a travel assignment. The floor plan is great for a family, but we are not confident it will hold up for the next two years. $30,000 is a lot of money for anyone to spend on a piece of crap trailer. Looks great and light weight equals cheap quality.Rating breakdown
