Absolutely LOVE My 19KD!
By Samantha Kaufman (I am an Owner) on Jul 01, 2013This is my first travel trailer and I was purchasing it so that my son and I could take epic road trips across the US safely and comfortably - with my husband occasionally flying in to meet us en route. We had originally looked at pop-ups, but I needed to know that I could handle all aspects managing ... a trailer on my own: hooking up to truck, travelling, backing in, levelling, hooking up at campground and breaking back down again. My son got sick our 3rd time out and I am proud to say I did it ALL myself! I love the interior and we both knew this was the trailer for us when we saw the king dinette - has the allure of a real dining room. Son instantly claimed the spot or his own. Having the dinette area slide out is a huge plus for inclement weather. You feel like you are in a hotel room rather than a hallway. I like that the master bed is at the back, however, as much as I like the privacy drapes, it didn't give me enough room to change clothes and sort of blocked off the a/c flow. No worries, I bought a spring loaded curtain rod and shower curtain and can fit that further out underneath the ceiling a/c unit for loads of space. Now I have my own master bedroom. Bathroom is cute, but is a little tight as in all campers. I bought an adjustable rod that pushes out to give more room while showering and pushes in to give more room while doing makeup, etc. or for hanging wet items over tub. After a bit of adjustment - getting used to kitchen cabinets and what I would really use for cooking, we have sorted all that out and I am happy with it. Absolutely LOVE that even though I have one of the smaller travel trailers, I still have both a large refrigerator and a separate freezer! I do wish the storage area went all the way through and that there was a window at the front by the master bed. Of course, I think you could pick apart any trailer with preferences. I feel like I have all the comforts of home wrapped up in a cute little totally manageable trailer. The Conquest 19KD is a perfect entry-level trailer or for those who want to keep their towing rig small, but not feel like they are missing out on some of the finer points of the bigger rigs.Rating breakdown
