Nice RV, great for the price
By Michael (I am an Owner) on Sep 12, 2012OK, we got this one as a closeout sale from Dusty's RV in Bartow, FL. This is after a terrible experience getting a FEMA trailer from an auction. So we bought this one new and brought it home the next day. I found it easy to tow, lower profile than most which helps in reduction of wind drag. We camped ... with it pretty quickly and really enjoyed it. I really liked the amount of storage you get with it, and the bathroom is quite large. I like that you can get out of the shower and dry off without having to leave the bathroom, and not bump your elbows in every corner. We really like the outside kitchen. Sink is a little small and a bit close to the outside fridge, but it all still works really just fine. The shock arms that lift the door to the outside kitchen came loose, but I was able to relocate the mounting holes to a better and stronger location. No more problems there. Toilet clogged up once, due to guests using too much TP (grrr), but after some good flushing, it cleared out just fine. The plate for the handles to the shower came loose also. I redrilled and recaulked it as well. No more problems there either. We added a foam mattress to the existing bed, and makes it much more comfortable to sleep. AC works pretty good in the heat of summer. Kept it plenty cool when it was 93 degrees in the Florida Keys summer! The slide is cables, not hydraulics, I like it better as it would be less to repair than the hydraulic motors...I know! Slide goes in and out effortlessly. Nice jack knife sofa/bed, comfortable! Did I mention tons of storage inside? There's lots of storage in the front locker too! All my gear fits in there...just gotta watch the tongue weight, even with WD hitch. Electric awning is awesome! Quickly retracts if sudden winds or storm kicks up! Had a manual awning before and a quick storm tore it apart before I could retract it. With this one...push of a button and its in. Also, if you don't lock down the arms, it will lower itself to release excess rain water, asnd then pop back up, very cool and helpfull! I installed a TV in bedroom, and wires were easy to run and conceal...perfect for those stormy nights! Not the biggest trailer out there, but I think one of the most functional and cozy trailers out there for a 26'...and for the price, its the best thing out there that we found. I think its pretty easy to tow, I have 1,000lb. weight distributing hitch, and my 2003 Ford Expedition 5.4L tows it pretty darn good! Key is to not overload the truck or the trailer! Having good towing equipment and a good brake controller will ensure simple towing, and easy and quick set up and disconnect at the camp site. I use a cordless drill with 3/4" driver to raise and lower the 4 stabilizing jacks. I also put all my cables and hoses in marked bins (in front locker) and set up and take down is pretty darn quick (when you know where everything is, quickly). We've had a 31' beast of a POS travel trailer, and a nice pop up before that. We feel this TT is a perfect option for us.Rating breakdown
