2010 Jayco Eagle 365BHS Review
By Lisa (I am an Owner) on Dec 17, 2012Well we ordered our Eagle frm an RV dealer in Medford Oregon in October 2009.We had decided to move back to CA, but refused to pay the high rent there, so we bought a trailer instead! We got our Eagle in the later part of Feb. We loaded it up with our stuff, and off to California. The Eagle is beautiful! ... Large in space, (we have four kids and two adults living in this trailer!), TONS of storage space (inside and out), bunks are awesome, 2 bathrooms even better! We did run into a few issues! When my husband took his first shower, the shower pan cracked! They had drilled an 11" hole for a 2" pipe, and put no support under the shower pan! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't fix this mistake at the factory. I called Jayco to get it fixed, and in my opinion it is a pain! I have to bring it to an authorized dealer. Well I can't because I live in it, and have kids in school. I tried getting 2 different mobile RV mechanics to do it but they will not! I asked Jayco to send my the shower pan and they will not do that either! I paid for the trailer in full, and they WILL NOT send me the shower pan, so we can fix the issue. My husband has been an auto tech for 30 yrs, I think he can fix a shower pan! So, I'm very dissapointed that we have a cracked shower pan, and no way to get a new one unless we pay full price for a new one. ($300 and something dollars for a new one) We installed a tankless hot water heater! AWESOME..we can shower for days! Oh,yes we fixed the shower pan. we filled in half way with cement! I'm doing a mosaic to make it look completly custom! The tankless works great. Saves on electricty, and uses very little propane. We have had issues with the ceiling light bulbs going out all the time. Not sure why, but we bought LED bulbs that last 10 yrs and they work great. Everything works great on the Eagle, and all 7 of us are totally comfortable in this trailer. My oldest son turned the basement storage into his room. It was the game room,(we put a flat screen on the wall, and all the different gaming systems down there. The kids hung out down there playing video games with their friends. We then took out one of the bottom bunks and put a large desk in. Now my son that I home school has a study place, and a homework center for the other kids! Do your maintaince like you should, and take good care of it like you would your house, and it will last forever! There is so much space, that you could remodel after several yrs, if you wanted. We can't wait for the kids to go, so we can take the bunks out and open up the back end, and do what we want! (When a kid leaves the house, a bunk comes out! No return loafers). I hope you enjoy your Eagle Trailer like we do.It's nice to own your home and travel with it too!! P.S. Towing was a dream! I towed our trailer from Medford,OR to Scotts Valley,CA. I used one tank of gas, (2004 Dodge 2500)and forgot half the time I have a 40 footer behind me.Rating breakdown
