Intersesting
By David Cluff (I am an Owner) on Feb 20, 2018We purchased that trailer in July 2017. Before we took it off the lot, it was noted that one of the door locks was not operational with the key. There was a light that was not working. Some of the edging above the table was coming undone. We took the trailer on the stipulation that we would bring it ... back when we got back from our first trip. Wile on our trip, we noted several other problems. The major one involved a 30 amp fuse. Every time we used the inside electrical, it blew the 30 amp fuse and the trailer power was out. the funny thing about this is the trailer is a 50 amp system. The Kitchen Glide caused some damage to the floor by the refrigerator when it was brought in.The other problems consisted of the inner panels on the cabinet doors would push out if any pressure was put on them. The shower walls were bubbling and the sing drain was off center. We took the trailer back to Camping World in Draper Utah and explained the additional problems. The tech blamed us for the fuzz blowing stating we overextended the electric jack. We left the trailer with them to be fixed. Approximately two months later, I contacted them and stated we had another trip and needed to pick up the trailer. The stated they had everything fixed but the panels for the cabinet doors because Jayco sent them the wrong ones. I picked up the trailer and went on the trip. During the trip, the 30 amp fuse blew out twice cutting the power to the whole trailer each time. On the way back home, it was raining. When we got home, I noted water around the area where the slide damaged the floor previously and the floor covering was again damaged. I took the trailer in the next day to Camping World and spoke with one of the Service writers. Lest to say, I was not happy. I again brought up the fuse and he asked if he could look at it. He came out and looked at the electrical up front and stated that he could even see there was a problem and he stated he would make sure he would get it fixed. He also added the slide and flooring. A few weeks after taking it in, I called to find out the status and they gave me the run around, blaming it on Jayco because of their policy on warranty work. Lest to say, I got my trailer back 4 months later and will not be using it for a few more months when it warms up. I am slightly disappointing in the manufacturing of the trailer because I have always heard the Jayco produced quality trailers. the panels in the cabinet doors were put in place and caulking was put in behind them. There was no glue or staples holding them in place, just caulking. the electrical problem bothered me also. Oh and one last thing about Camping World of Draper Utah. When I went to pick up the trailer the last time, low and behold they still hadn't fixed the lock on the door so I had them replace the whole locking mechanism giving me two different keys for the trailer but I am ok with that because I am tired of waiting for them to figure it out. In closing, The trailer all and all is good. I really like the color, layout and handling of the trailer. Hopefully it is know fixed and ready to go. The problem I really have is with Camping World of Draper. Out of the 8 months w e have had the trailer, we have actually had possession of it for 2 months. The other 6 months it was at Camping World. The sales department is excellent but the service department is probably the worst I have ever seen or dealt with. I would not recommend Camping World of Draper for any service. I would go to Camping World of Layton Utah.Rating breakdown
