2013 Alpine 3600RS
By Marshall Stephenson (I am an Owner) on Jun 06, 2017We bought this new in November of 2012. I am a fan of extended warranties, so we also purchased a 5 year warranty on all major appliances and AC/Heat Pump system. Of course we have accident etc... insurance also. We had just moved everything into storage, rented out our house, and were ready to start ... our second two year trip to the Midwest, Southwest, and the West Coast. As life goes, my wife's father became terminally ill, so we opted for an RV park across the street from the ocean near our home in North Carolina. Having no idea when family matters might be resolved, we dug in for the winter at the beach. We wound up living in our Alpine 3600RS for 10 months. We had a pretty cold winter and a scorching summer. The Alpine is built for both. In the only other Alpine review here, the owner mentioned a lack of satisfaction with some fine details in their Alpine. That was not our experience. Right out of the dealership, everything looked and worked great. Within a few months, our microwave/convection oven went on the blink. The dealership drove to our location (75 miles) and repaired it. Further problems with it led to the free installation of a brand new oven. The dealership drove to us. After another year, the fridge decided it only worked on propane. It is still an issue occasionally. That's all of any complaints/issues we've ever had. Once while moving the RV, we hit a huge tree branch that scraped our roof. Insurance put a new 30 year roof on top. That helped with insulation during extreme summer heat. One other thing... we left the mattress with the dealer and bought a Sleep Number. So, now we've had our Alpine for 5 years. We will replace the awning next month. It has taken extreme punishment being in the wind at the beach and has slightly (six inches) pulled away at the right arm. My fault. It is parked in an RV resort on the Atlantic Ocean. She has been there for three months and we have no intention of moving her for a long time, in fact we just built a deck for it (see photos). Being veteran RVers already taught us how to take care of our rig. With the exception of needing to be washed and waxed, right now, if you walked in the door you would think that you're in an RV on the showroom floor. We looked at new Alpines in January. All wood finishes are still incredible, the carpet looks new, kitchen looks new, and the bathroom/shower looks new (we have logged over two years of full timer use in the Alpine). We have replaced the recliners and are currently recovering the sleeper sofa. The living room furniture could have a been a much better quality. I recommend tossing the recliners on day one. Get big LazyBoys. Plenty of room for them in the rig. After a year, your dealer probably won't have much time for you. I'm on the phone with Keystone any time I have the slightest issue with anything and I recommend that you establish an early and good relationship with them. Kill the monster while it's little and take care of your rig to get maximum satisfaction. My wife and I would buy another Alpine and probably will one day.Rating breakdown

Not bad layout Manufacture could do better job
By James VanDeHey (I am an Owner) on Jan 30, 2017We bought this in August 2017 and really do like the layout and the overall operation and ease of doing stuff with it. I wish keystone employees would take time to do a better job at craftsmanship. There were staples sticking out of the wall in spots and caught my leg and arm on a couple. The staples ... used for the carpeting at the entrance to bathroom and bedroom were they fold the carpet under and then staple was badly done. The staples they used weren't adequate for the job and the guns apparently used for the bad staples weren't strong enough to put the staples all the way down and we would catch out feet on them and would step on them. Where the trim would meet it never really looked nice or matched good. They seem to rush to put these things together but then suggest a $90,000 retail on them. It's great that the dealerships only ask around $60,000 to $65,000 for them that I have seen up around Northern Wisconsin because they are definitely not worth $90,000 retail unless they did a better job with the interior. Overall we do like the layout and after the dealership fixed the staples and some cosmetic stuff it's a great camper we will have plenty of years to use it. We travel throughout the US and it pulls nice behind my 2010 F250 Diesel but I do have Firestone Air-bags installed in the rear and would recommend them to anyone. A lot of storage underneath and inside. Would be nice if they had outside speakers under the awning and maybe a spot for an outdoor TV to hang. We would recommend this one but make sure you look really good at the interior before you accept delivery.Rating breakdown
