2013 Prime Time Manufacturing Sanibel 3500 User Reviews
Excellent Quality + Superior Planning= Very Happy Campers!
By Elizabeth Barnes(Owner), Jul. 7, 2013
We bought our Sanibel 3500 in February of 2013. We continue to be amazed by the incredible design incorporated in this model.
Storage:
Without seeming to be boxed in with cabinets, this plan provides an exceptional amount of storage in every area (living area, kitchen, bedroom, even bathro...om where space is at a premium). The storage outside is also plentiful and divided well. The master closet is incredible: a walk-in space with a built-in shoe rack on one end and a washer/dryer space at the other. Also in the closet is a large set of additional drawers which more than doubles the bedroom drawer storage. There is additional storage under the king bed.
Aesthetics:
The design is enhanced by the wood finish, the window treatments, the leather furniture, the dining table and chairs, the counter design, the decorative cabinet doors, the plentiful decorative lighting, the vinyl in the kitchen and bath. The exterior is very attractive with a modern splash of color. The light leather sofa and recliners are the perfect balance to the darker wood interior. The bathroom is well designed and the skylight keeps it light and airy feeling. The bedroom is large enough without wasting space and the king bed is impressively huge.
Functionality:
The kitchen is so well designed (e.g., size of drawers, amount of storage, location of storage, pull out trash can, accessibility to cabinets, lighting, countertops, size of pantry, etc.). The drain and cutting board built into the sink area are great examples of dual purpose usage.
All controls (interior and exterior) are grouped together for easy accessibility. The bathroom has two entrances (from hall and from bedroom) making it extremely convenient when guests are entertained. The living area on one end and the bedroom on the other end makes for two very separate spaces with doors closing off the bedroom area.
We have stayed in the Sanibel in both very cold and very hot temperatures. We were completely comfortable in both circumstances.
Space:
With the four slides, there is a wonderful sense of having your home with you on the road. There is no crowding and guests are amazed with the livable space (as are the owners!).
Quality:
This is the best quality RV we have seen priced under $100,000 in workmanship, materials, planning and usefulness.
The 2-year warranty is a definite endorsement by the company on their confidence in their product.
WOW! Factor: 110 per cent.
Suggestions for possible improvement:
1. The molded shower stall could be improved with usable shelving. They are not deep enough to hold anything. Thankfully there is a built-in holder (made of netting material) in which you can store bath accessories.
2. Instructions should be included for the operation of the two AC units and the heat. There are very flexible features which allow for setting temperatures for various times of the day, but it's not intuitive as to how to do so.
3. The bedspread was the least desirable aspect of the RV. We changed it immediately.
4. The mattress seemed very hard, so we added a memory foam topper.
