Nice trailer for the money...
By RDL (I am an Owner) on Aug 18, 2012I recently purchased the Skyline, Aljo 173 Retro... It towes well and is not a problem for my Saturn Vue 6cyl to handle. The trailer is missing several basic items within it: no cutlery drawer, in fact no drawers of any kind, Towel rack supplied on ly for one hand towel, have to add towel racks. No ... medicine cabinet, have to add that. No small sink in the bathroom. I may add that later, if I can find the right size. The shower stall is tight with no head room for a six foot man. I will change the curtain location to add more room in the pan. The frig is floor located, difficult for older persons to access. The mattress on the front bed is adequate for now, but I plan to replace it too with a good quality mattress. The trailer has lots of open storage in the front and a large space between the counter and water heater. The mfg partitioned it off, so no problem with the water heater. Just have to add hinges to the lid, or remove the two screws. The Dometic awning is sad..no other way to say it. I a surprised that a company with a good reputation would produce a product like this. First time I used it, the rails fell apart. It is not up to the quality of a Colorado or A&E Awning...I have had those and they are better made. The trailer is adequate for two people, crowded for 4. If you dry camp, plan on taking a exterior container for grey water, as 15 gal of grey and 9 gal of black will not go very far. The batwing TV antenna worked well, however the location of the connections it the trailer is not convenient. For the price, it is a nice looking, reasonably well made trailer. It is adequate for my needs a towing capacity. I dont plan long trips with it, just out to the beach or local lakes. I didnt have to buy a big car or pickup to tow it... the Saturn worked out well. After, I add those little necessities I mentioned, it will be a nice little unit for 2 people. RDLRating breakdown
