Cabinet and air conditioning problems
By Doug (I am an Owner) on Aug 28, 2011Don't get me wrong I love our camper but in the few months we have owned it I have had problems with the cabinets and air conditioner. First problem was the air conditioner. I went camping for the very first time and of course it rains. We notice a leak coming from the air conditioner. It turns out ... that there is a compression gasket in the unit that was NEVER tightened by the factory! I called and complained to the factory and they told me that it would be put on our file but refused to compensate me for my troubles even though I had to drive to my dealer, which is over an hour away, to get it fixed. The next problem is with the cabinet doors falling off. Upon further inspection they use very small screws that defiantly were not for a unit that tows. Luckily we have a family friend that is in the cabinet making business was able to change the screws for me so we have not had a problem after that. I suggest that you have your dealer check these problems before you take delivery. A tech should be able to check these problems in a short amount of time and it will save you a headache in the end. I expected a lot more from a company as big as Starcraft! Now for the good. The camper is great. We are a family of four (2 adults and two small children and a large dog) we have our daughter on one bunk we are on another and our son, who is still in a crib, sleeps on the ground in a pack and play. That still gives us plenty of room for visitors to come up and stay the night. After moving from a pop up we defiantly have plenty of room. The bathroom is great and there is adequate amount of storage for travel. We found that for camping there is not enough storage for items such as clothing and food. We end up storing food in the microwave and clothing in bins on the couch which makes the inside feel cramped. The front storage area surprised me with the amount of room it has and how much of our gear fits in there. Setting up is a breeze and the only complaint is that we have is that it is hard to find a place to store the bedding material, but we knew that going into a hybrid camper. Over all I am very pleased with this camper and we expect to keep it for years to come.Rating breakdown

Starcraft 187TB...Cabinets falling off the walls :(
By K Long (I am an Owner) on Aug 02, 2011We purchased our new 2011 Starcraft 187TB in May this year. I love this trailer for the most part. Our first trip was the only trip with a fully intact trailer. On the second trip (same place as the first trip, 40 miles from home, not a long distance) the cabinet doors fell off of one of the cabinets ... and several others (most) became loose. We took it to the dealer, but they couldn't get parts before our next trip. That was before July 4th, still haven't heard anything, have taken 2 more trips because I refuse to let it stop my family from enjoying our summer. I am still hoping for resolution. This was a well thought out purchase on my part and I expected far more for the price we paid. Very disappointed.Rating breakdown

I love my trailer
By D.G. Allen (I am an Owner) on Jul 30, 2011I love my 187TB. Plenty of room for two with two big dogs. We like our space, although if you needed to it would easily sleep six without using the dinette as a bed. Unfortunately we like to take everything imaginable so we use the bathroom as storage. It's easy to pull with my aspen. So far I love ... it!Rating breakdown
