Do not Buy!
By Rebecca Spurgin (I am an Owner)I bought a new 2017 Starcraft Satelite 18DS at the end of 2017. I have had nothing but problems with it. The stabilizer jacks bent on the first trip. Dealer would not cover that. The camper leaked a little at the start and leaks throughout the camper now. The walls are full of mold. The floors ... are all rotted. The side slide is rotted. On the underside of the floor is a layer of insulation and then a waterproof seal. We looked under the camper and saw the black layer was full of something. Cut it out and it was full of water that rushed out. Water had ran down the walls and pooled into the insulation. This held the leaking water under the floor unknown to us until it was too late. I owe thousands on the loan. This is a disaster.Read More -
Lots Of Problems, Cheaply Made
By Jody Noble (I am an Owner)We bought our new Satellite 18 DS in August 2017 and had it back to Camping world without even using it. took it to a campground, set it up and the battery was dead. We were dry camping, tried to put the slide out in and use the jack to put the trailer on the hitch. the jack will work by hand but there ... was no way to put in the slide out manually. we towed it to the dealer and it was a blown fuse. we had it back to the dealer twice more for the same problem until the StarCraft company finally was consulted and the wires to the hitch re-routed. We were told there was another Satellite in with the same problem. We just got back from a 10 day trip and have to take it in again because all 4 windows leak, and one of the cupboard doors fell off. Also the bathroom door isn't aligned in the opening and doesn't shut correctly. the front door isn't easy to open or close because the door plate isn't on right,. this trailer only sleep 3 at most , the table area only sleeps one small person. In hind site, we wouldn't buy such a poorly made product.Read More -
Buyer Beware
By Mary Adney (I am an Owner)Love the layout, size and trailering of this camper, however, that being said the construction leaves a lot to be desired. Bed broke after 2nd use. Stabilizer jacks bent at 3rd use. Water pump comes on periodically which signals there is a leak somewhere. Gas tank holder very cheap, replaced it before ... using. Need to watch your cargo weight carefully as it doesn't hold much with a full water tank. Bottom line is we paid way too much for this little camper with big issues.Read More
