Poor Quality
By Mike H. (I am an Owner) on Sep 06, 2017Bought a new 2014 Sporttrek 320 49 months ago. I was told they are a very good company that stands behind its product. However, I found out differently. Day 1 we signed papers we found rear slideout was getting stuck. Waited a few days for KZ to fix and had to fix trim above dining room slide out. Later ... that season we found issue with floor by bathroom, (design flaw) manufacture took to their facility to fix issue also had a list of a few other things for them to repair while they had it. Floor still squeaked after that but did not want to keep going back and forth. Year two other than floor squeak it was ok. Year three black water pressure flush broke and flooded bathroom. Beginning of year four is the major issue, 1) floor squeak is louder 2)floor in kitchen now squeaks 3) hing on ladder broke 4) awning starting to tear 5)decals are cracking 6)Caulking on front round top edges separated and water got behind wall and now has a small bow, wall was not cut correctly and they used caulking to fill in gap since wall was not cut correctly.......Contacted KZ informed them camper has not been moved since we got it back from them. Sent them pictures of everything including gaps that caulking was filled into. I was told sorry its beyond the 2 year warranty. A four year old camper should not have these things going wrong. Awning should not be tearing as its not hardly used and we do not leave it out during foul weather. Gap in side panel to roof line poorly matched and filled in with caulk, did not know this until I peeled off old caulk. Second place in floor now squeaking after only four years old. This camper does not get abused pulling it around nor do we neglect it or abuse it. Same spot it has been in for a little more than 2 years. Poorly constructed and design flaw I do not think was properly fixed in floor, poor quality of craftsmanship and materials, poor oversight of inspection crew. For a $30,000 camper I think it should ho;d up much better than it is especially not dragging it around to different places. I would hate to see mine after four years of dragging it around. Should have kept my Pilgrim instead !!!!Rating breakdown
