Hard to find good help
By Pat Conner (I am an Owner) on Jun 11, 2019It is obvious that Winnebago is having a hard time getting good help.I have had the unit in the shop for poor workmanship rather than part problem. Screws drilled in to studs but mist the stud and left it like that. Parts installed wrong or not lined up right. The seat belts on the back two seats were ... installed backwards. screw head broke off and not replaced, extended the bed and broke the support bean because it was not aliened correctly. The control system in the dash is a joke it is slower than my Atria 800 from the 70"s. the nav system is even worse.Rating breakdown

Love hate relationship
By Russ (I am an Owner) on Sep 13, 2018Bought the 2017 Era in January 2018. With 15,000 miles on the odometer we have a pretty good idea if we made a good choice or not. Overall we like the Era with reservations, serious reservations. First, the Mercedes part of the Era is top notch and love it. It drives great, gets great gas mileage, ... say 18 overall, and is reliable. Power is adequate to get over big mountains out west. For the coach (Winnebego) part of the Era things get a little dicey. We expected problems before we bought an RV as ALL will have issues and problems. But geese we have been disappointed with Winnebago on quality on their end. After nine months of ownership it has spent a total of TWO months in service being worked on to fix numerous issues. The biggest of which was the two vent windows on the big sliding main entry door. Both were defective from get go. A MAJOR repair deal. Took a month to get the replacement part in to be installed. Then the seal was not done right and it leaks. The refrigerator door hinge broke on our very first trip. the Truma heating system is a nightmare to operate, overly confusing control panel leaves so you frustrated! The system also constantly trips the GFI socket it is plugged into. Very finicky system to operate. The cabinetry is break prone, cheap plastic latches. Other minor trip pieces have broken or needed repair, some of which I have done myself to avoid another overly long stay in a service department. The one year or 15,000 mile Winnebego warranty seams woefully inadequate. BUT, we have enjoyed RVing with the ERA and love many features such as the twin flex bed which is very comfortable.Rating breakdown
