According to a report from Go RVing Canada, RV vacations remain the most cost-effective form of travel for Canadians.

According to the study, which was conducted by PKF Consulting, typical RV vacations are up to 75 percent less expensive per day than any other type of family trip, regardless of trip duration, distance, or location.

To add another component of affordability, Go RVing Canada reports that RV prices are at an all time low.

“We are seeing increased activity and sales in our showrooms as the economy recovers,” says Go RVing Canada spokesperson Catherine Fortin LeFaivre. “So now is absolutely the right time to buy before prices start rising again.”

According to Tourism Quebec, the number of RVers went up 3.9 per cent in 2009, as compared to the previous year. Go RVing Canada expects this trend to continue this season as the RV and travel show season progresses and summer approaches.
