Thor Motor Coach will show off a third floorplan to its Venetian motorhome lineup at the RVIA National Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

“The new T42 model provides a bigger platform for those consumers looking for the best combination of style, luxury and living space,” Thor Motor Coach says in a release.

The T42 is the first Venetian to offer a Freightliner XCR chassis with a tag axle, powered by a Cummins ISL engine rated for 400 hp and 1250 lb-ft of torque. Features on this chassis include a 150-gallon fuel tank along with Michelin 295/80R series tires. The Atlas Foundation supports the transition from the chassis to the house of the T42 utilizing high-strength steel trusses and anti-camber bars to provide a solid base.

The T42 is the first diesel pusher in Thor Motor Coach history to offer an optional drop down overhead bunk in the cockpit.

“Diesel buyers can now enjoy a full sized sleeping area in the front of the motorhome that does not require a sofa or dinette to be converted,” says Thor Motor Coach.

According to Thor Motor Coach, lowering the Project 2000 bunk is done with a push of a button.

This bath and a half floorplan has an interior featuring high-gloss, polished solid hardwood cabinetry, new polished tile flooring and ComfortFit by Villa furniture. Entertainment is ever present with a 60” LED Smart HDTV in the living area, Sony home theater system and 10” Axxera in-dash media center. Other features include the WhisperAir air conditioning system and the industry’s first Push button start system.

You can see the T42 at the Thor Motor Coach display located in the North Hall, Booth 3000 starting Tuesday, Dec. 1.
