When we first heard about the Wal-Mart Atlas we were a little confused. Why would anybody want to know where every Wal-Mart in the United States is?
For RVers the answer is simple – most Wal-Mart stores allow you to park your self-contained RV overnight for free! If you’re traveling the country and need a place to stop for a rest with no campground in site, the Wal-Mart Atlas will show you where the nearest store is.
The Atlas displays more than 4,000 Wal-Mart stores, Supercenters, and Sam’s Clubs in the united States with detailed state maps that show you where the stores are located and whether gas or diesel fuel is available. A quick glance at the Atlas will also tell you how close the store is to the Interstate, whether it’s open 24 hours, GPS coordinates, driving directions, and more.
The Wal-Mart Atlas is available, we would imagine, at most Wal-Mart locations, as well as a variety of on-line shopping sites.
