Winnebago Industries, Inc., through a newly formed subsidiary, Winnebago of Indiana, has completed its purchase of all the assets of SunnyBrook RV, Inc. for $5.7 million in cash.

Winnebago says it will continue to produce towable products under the SunnyBrook brand and will honor all outstanding warranty commitments to current SunnyBrook owners. Additionally, Winnebago plans to diversify its product line to include Winnebago brand travel trailers and fifth wheels.

As well, Elvie Frey, president and majority owner of SunnyBrook Manufacturing, will remain with the company and serve as President of Winnebago of Indiana.

“We believe this acquisition will be highly successful,” says Bob Olson, chairman, CEO, and president of Winnebago Industries. “We are thrilled to have Elvie lead the new subsidiary forward.”

“Winnebago Industries and SunnyBrook are two very quality oriented companies and it was a great fit for us to have a presence in the heart of the RV capital,” says Randy Potts, senior vice president of strategic planning at Winnebago Industries. “We believe we will be able to quickly grow the volume and market share of Winnebago of Indiana.”
