You enjoy the finer things in life. Fine food, fine wine, you even like your camping excursions to have an upscale feel to them. If you’re interested in living the high life outdoors, it’s worth your time to check out the 2012 Dutchmen Infinity Fifth Wheel Trailer. Raising the bar for fifth wheels everywhere, the Infinity is set to become the new ideal in luxury travel.

With 12 floorplans to choose from, there’s a fifth wheel to fit every lifestyle. We’re going to concentrate our efforts on the 3870FK, the largest model in the series. It measures in with a length of 41’6”, height of 12’10”, and width of 8’. The Infinity has an unloaded weight of 12,516 lbs, and a cargo capacity of 2,984 lbs. For water, it has a fresh-water capacity of 69 gallons, waste-water capacity of 48 gallons, and gray-water capacity of 144 gallons. As well, it comes with a 40,000 BTU furnace with forced air heat and a quiet zone ducted 15,000 BTU air conditioner.

Made using a gel-coated Filon fiberglass exterior and built on a heavy duty drop frame I-bean chassis, the Infinity boasts high quality construction from top to bottom. Its premium 3” thick laminated floor features vacu-bond laminated construction, heavy duty foam insulation, welded aluminum framing and 5/8” thick decking. The roof is made using one-piece EPDM rubber, and comes equipped with 3/8” decking, Reflectix insulation and welded aluminum 5” truss roof studs. Plus, its heated underbelly comes with Flex Foil insulation, as well as heated and insulated enclosed tanks and knife valves.

Taking care of a common concern for fifth wheel owners, the Infinity has a solution for turns. It features an expanded turning radius front cap that boasts a 90-degree turning radius. It also comes with a back-up mirror and LED lights that make hitching up simple, making it an ideal fifth wheel for extended cab or short bed trucks.

If you want more storage space, the Infinity will give it to you. Its huge pass-through storage area features industrial non-skid rubber flooring, as well as lined storage walls and bath deck, and an oversized 76” x 30” entry door with a “Welcome Back” light.

For smooth sailing to your destination, this Dutchmen fifth wheel comes equipped with Trail-Air Equa-Flex suspension. This rubber equalizer suspension system protects the trailer by allowing the axles to travel independently, which reduces road vibrations and gives you a smoother ride. And when you get to the camp site, hydraulic front landing gear helps you set up faster. They are 15 times faster than electric jacks, have double the lifting capacity and come with a Deep Cycle battery.

Other exterior features include a large power awning with a remote control, hydraulic slide rooms, quad shock absorbers, 16″ radial tires, and convenience docking station.

It’s time to head inside the Infinity, where you’ll be impressed with the spacious living quarters, 6’8” ceiling height and residential features. You’ll love the look of the antique hand-rubbed glazed cherry cabinetry, complete with elegant, European-style hidden hinges. Solid cherry stiles and slide room fascia, crown moulding, and designer window treatments add chicness, while Beauflor flooring and premium carpet pamper your feet.

Step into the living area, where a world of relaxing features awaits. Have a seat on the L-shaped sofa (which turns into a bed) or on one of the two chairs. Turn on the Samsung “All-in-One” entertainment system, complete with a 40” HD LCD TV, a 5.1 digital surround sound system, AM/FM/CD/DVD player with iPod input, six interior and two exterior speakers, and a universal remote control.

Let’s go into the kitchen for a closer look. The kitchen and dining room is contained in its own area in this fifth wheel. There’s plenty of room to prep your meals, thanks to a rollaway kitchen island and plenty of solid-surface countertops. These countertops are non-porous, so they’re easy to clean. The U-shaped dinette gives everyone a comfortable place to sit during meal times. In the way of appliances, the kitchen is fully stocked – a 12-cubic-foot refrigerator, three-range stove, oven, and microwave. There’s also an undermount stainless steel galley sink with a boutique pullout brushed nickel faucet.

In the master bedroom, you’ll feel as if you’ve never left home. The bedroom design features a laminated, crown ceiling design, which gives you more headroom. As well, it comes with a cedar suite full walk-in closet. When it’s time to rest, you’ll have sweet dreams on the “Comfort Zone” king size memory foam mattress. Other bedroom amenities include a designer headboard, washer/dryer prep, mirrored sliding doors and shoe racks.

Last on the tour is the bathroom, located beside the bedroom. You’re not going to be disappointed – this room has a flush toilet, a shower with a skylight and a large molded lavatory sink.
