A value-packed option for families on the go, the 2012 Holiday Rambler Traveler Travel Trailer is full of residential features and amenities. The all-new 2012 model boasts traditional styling and an affordable price, making it a must-see trailer for budget-conscious families.

With 11 spacious floorplans that range from 19 to 33 feet, there are more than enough models to choose from. Since we can’t take a look at them all, we’ll be concentrating our efforts on the 28RLS, one of the larger models in this series. It measures in with an overall length of 31’3″, an overall height of 11’3” and an exterior width of 8’. In terms of weight, it has a GVWR of 11,176 lbs, a dry hitch weight of 6945 lbs and a dry unloaded vehicle weight of 6,285 lbs. For water, the 28RLS has a six-gallon water heater, a 30-gallon grey water tank, a 30-gallon black water tank and a fresh water capacity of 43 gallons.

Built on an 8″ I-beam powder coated frame, the Traveler is constructed using laminated sidewalls and a .024 aluminum sidewall exterior. Underfoot, there’s 8″ thick flooring and above, the roof features 5″ crowned wood trusses with 3/8″ decking and fiberglass insulation. Giving it a sleek and finished look, the Holiday Rambler Traveler sports molded ABS fender skirts, white wheels and vinyl exterior graphics. Other standard features include tandem axles with 10″ electric brakes, a front diamond plate and a frame-mounted entry step. There are also a few options you can include to add on (but will cost you extra), such as a spare tire, four manual stabilizer jacks, an electric tongue jack, a rear ladder, four aluminum wheels and an enclosed underbelly.

You don’t want to be left in the dark and powerless while you’re away from home, so it’s a good thing the Traveler comes with a host of power and light features. Giving you plenty of ways to power up, this travel trailer comes equipped with a 30 AMP electrical management system, a 30 AMP power cord, a 55 AMP converter with a charger and a patio side 120V exterior receptacle. To light your way inside and outside the trailer, you’ll find a porch light, a hitch light, a storage area door side compartment light, a hook-up area road side light and double pancake inside.

The Traveler also comes with amenities that make traveling and camping a lot easier. With radius entry and baggage doors, you’ll be able to pack and unpack in no time. For your comfort, there’s an electronic ignition furnace as well as a gas line hook-up. If you want to keep cool in the summer, you may want to upgrade with a 13,500 or a 15,000 ducted BTU air conditioner.

You’re out in wilderness and you want to enjoy your surroundings. The Holiday Rambler Traveler has thought of that. You can take in the scenery with radius windows, as well as large galley window. For those mornings when you want to watch the sun rise, enjoy a morning coffee under the patio awning.

The interior of the Traveler 28RLS is just as impressive as the outside. The contemporary decor is highlighted with Fulton Cherry cabinetry, square frame flat panel cabinet doors, wood grain panel refrigerator insert doors and a wood grain bath door. And when your campers track dirt throughout the trailer, don’t worry – there’s linoleum flooring that’s easy to clean. Other interior features include roller bearing drawer guides and mini blinds throughout.

The first room that greets you in the 28RLS is the spacious living area. There are plenty of spots to take a seat – take it easy on two barrel chairs, a fabric-covered jack knife sofa or at the booth dinette. If you can’t imagine being without your favorite programs, you can add a 26″ LCD TV and AM/FM/CD/DVD/iPod/MP3 stereo to your trailer package. And if you plan on having guests stay the night, you’ll want to upgrade to the hide-a-bed sofa that comes with an air mattress.

The living area opens to the kitchen, where magnificent meals are easy to create. Cook up a storm with a three-burner cooktop with oven, microwave, lighted powered range hood and double-door 6-cu.-ft. refrigerator. Other handy features you’ll find in the kitchen include a stainless steel sink with a high rise goose neck faucet.

Let’s move on to the master bedroom, where sweet dreams are had on a 60”x74” queen-sized bed. For all your storage needs, there are plenty of features to keep you well organized, including shelves, two bedside tables and a large wardrobe.

Next to the bedroom is the main bathroom. In here, you’ll find a Thetford toilet with foot flush, a vanity sink and a full tub to keep you squeaky clean.

The 2012 Holiday Rambler Traveler 28RLS Travel Trailer retails for around $28,995. For more information, visit http://www.holidayrambler.com/.
