If you’ve been searching high and low for a fifth wheel that covers all of your lifestyle and travel needs, your search may be ending with the 2010 Keystone Montana High Country. The Montana High Country boasts cutting-edge technology and high-end amenities that make any trip an easy one.

Available in three floorplans, we’re going to be taking a spin in the 333DB model, the middle-sized layout of this line. Measuring in with a length of 36′ 5, a width of 8′ and a height of 12′ 9, and weighing in at 9,460 lbs., this floorplan offers plenty of room and features to ensure maximum comfort on any journey you undertake.

Built using Helium Technology, the Montana High Country uses advanced materials and manufacturing technology to significantly reduce weight while maintaining plenty of features, comforts and luxury. Saving you 1,300 to 2,500 pounds compared to typically equipped fifth wheels, the Montana High Country helps reduce wear and tear on your tow vehicle, as well as improve fuel economy and maximize the towability of your 3/4-ton truck.

A radius rear fibreglass cap not only looks good, but proves functional as well, as it protects the coach and improves aerodynamics. The Gen II EasySet wireless remote control allows you to operate the power landing jacks, rear stabilizer jacks, electric awning, slide-out rooms and exterior lights all with just the push of a button. Hitching this fifth wheel to your truck is a one-person job, thanks to its HitchVision system. Designed with Max-Turn Technology, the integrated frame and front cap design give owners a great short bed truck to fifth wheel angle. Simply put, it means that turning corners and backing into campsites is much easier. A cool and sleek exterior design is further highlighted by a smoke grey high-gloss with dynamic, metallic exterior graphics.

Equipped with premium Goodyear E-range radial tires and aluminum wheels, the High Country goes the distance. Its fully insulated and heated storage area, enclosed underbelly and Glacier Package with R-21 insulation in the floor allow you to use this fifth wheel throughout the year. For all your packing needs, its pass-thru storage area is quite large, giving you more than 140 square feet of space. Other exterior features include Equa Flex upgraded suspension system, undermount spare tire and carrier, outside shower with quick connect hose, outside speakers, deep tint safety glass windows, Dexter E-Z Lube axles with eight lug wheels and enclosed convenience center, while popular options include dual pane windows and a slide awning package.

Convenience and comfort are key when you’re on the road for extended periods of time. The Montana High Country comes standard with features that will make your stay anywhere go a lot smoother, such as a 10-gallon DSI 110/12v water heater, 50-amp service, a black tank flush, and a 15,000 BTU air conditioner with quick cool. Some options you can choose to add on include a 13,500 BTU air conditioner in the bedroom, wire and frame for the bedroom air conditioner, generator prep and an Onan Marquis Gold 5.5 kw LP generator.

The Montana High Country comes with three interior decor choices – Walnut, Oxford and Silver Sage. Other interior adornments include two-tone raised panel interior cabinets in Glazed Cherry and Glazed Antique White and decorative iron curtain rods with contemporary window treatments.

For a little down time, sit a spell and relax in the living area. The desk and entertainment center with an optional fireplace makes this fifth wheel feel just like home. In the entertainment center, you’ll find a 32-inch HD-LCD TV, CD-DVD play with surround sound, AM/FM radio and MP3 connection. With plenty of room for guests, the Montana High Country comes with an air-mattress hide-a-bed sofa, as well a rear bunk house that features bunk beds with flip-up bunks above, located on both door side and off door side of the coach. Also located in the living area is a dinette, which is also available as a free-standing dinette with four chairs.

What’s cooking in the kitchen? As it turns out, a lot, thanks to a microwave, high output range with automatic igniter, 22-inch oven with broiler and two-door refrigerator. Topping off this gourmet’s dream are solid surface countertops, cabinet toe kicks and a double sink with high rise faucet. An available option for the kitchen is a 12-cubic foot four-door refrigerator.

When it’s time to call it a day, head into the comfortable master bedroom. A great night’s sleep is ensured on the queen bed with inner spring mattress. You’ll also find a stand-up closet with mirrored sliding door along front wall, as well as a reading light over the bed. In the way of options, you can choose to add a 12-volt 19-inch LCD TV to the bedroom.

In the bathroom, located next to the master bedroom, there’s a glass enclosed shower and garden tub with skylight above. Other bathroom features include a vanity with glass vessel sink bowl and mirrored medicine cabinet.
