2016 Cruiser RV Boss 4290 Review
Introducing the Boss, Cruiser RV’s newest toy hauler. More than a garage on wheels, the Boss 4290 is a luxurious residence that can accommodate all your favorite toys and family members.
Three floorplans are available to choose from – we’ll be exploring the Boss 4290. It has an axle weight of 11,885 lbs, hitch weight of 3,190 lbs, dry weight of 15,075 lbs, gross vehicle weight rating of 20,000 lbs and cargo capacity 4,925 lbs. The Boss 4290 has a length of 46’0” and height of 13’4”. Built with six-sided, welded aluminum cage construction, the Cruiser Boss’s features a hydraulic six-point level-up system and an enclosed underbelly. The frameless windows are tinted, the Dexter axles come with EZ Flex Suspension and the Onan 5500 Generator comes with 50 AMP service. Topped off with high gloss exterior fiberglass, the Cruiser Boss looks as confident as its name suggests.
You can carry all types of cargo in the Boss, including Side-by-Sides, ATVs and motorcycles. Beaver Tail Storage System D rings are found on the floor. The 30-gallon fuel station features a timer, and the garage stereo can be operated with a smartphone. Should you need space for guests, the electric queen-sized bed can convert to a sofa dinette. For an extra price, you can request a cargo area carpet kit and roll-down screen. Equipped with a large ramp door, it’s easy to move your toys in and out of the Boss 4290.

Long journeys require energy. Instead of recharging at fast food restaurants, you can cook your meals in the Cruiser Boss. A 30” microwave oven, residential refrigerator and stainless steel flip-up countertops are found in the kitchen. The under-mount sink is equipped with a pullout sprayer, making it easy to wash dishes and rinse vegetables. When dinner’s ready, you can serve it in the living space.
Step into the living room of the Cruiser RV Boss 4290 when you need to recharge after a day on the trails. Kick back on the recliner sofa, equipped with cup holders and a massage function, turn on one of the 40” living room TVs (there are two), or use your smart phone to turn on the stereo system. For top sound quality, the living room is equipped with a sub woofer and indoor/outdoor LED hi-output speakers. A flush-floor slide-out expands the living room, giving you more space to entertain guests. If it’s too dark, you can turn on the LED lights, and if it’s too light, you can roll down the night roller shades.

When it’s time for bed, get comfortable in the master bedroom. Equipped with residential appliances and décor, you’ll feel right at home. The bed comes with a residential pillow top mattress and a side comforter and pillows. You and your partner can store your clothes in the large dresser and charge your electronics on the metal cellphone/book holder located on both nightstands. Each nightstand is equipped with a 110 v outlet.
Last but not least are the washrooms. With ample room to wash up and groom, the main bathroom is as comfortable as it is functional. The porcelain toilet has foot flush and the large medicine cabinet provides you with enough space to store your toiletries. It’s easy to clean the stainless steel sink and radius shower, while the heat and AC vent keeps the bathroom temperature comfortable. The smaller washroom is more basic, featuring a sink and toilet.

The Cruiser RV Boss 4290 comes with a lot of upgrades. For an extra price, you can request a 32” TV on Boss’s exterior and in the bedroom. You can also request a 40” TV in the garage. The family chef might like the 22” oven, while the neat freak might want the Dyson cordless vacuum. If your family really enjoys being outdoors, you can request the patio kit and rear awning.
