The Venture Sonic Lite is decked out with all the amenities you need for luxurious adventuring, packaged in a lightweight trailer for smaller tow vehicles.

Of the five Sonic Lite floorplans available, we’re digging in to one of the smaller ones, the SL149VML. It sleeps two, so it’s a great little trailer for a pair of adventurers.

The Sonic Lite SL149VMLIt has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating 3500 lbs and hitch weight of 290 lbs. On the outside, it measures 9’5” high, 19’2” long, and 90” across. Its fresh water tank can hold 38 gallons, and each of the gray water and black water tanks can hold 30 gallons.

Venture’s Sonic Lite is the smaller sibling of the Sonic line of travel trailers. Vehicles in the Sonic Lite line still have the same one-piece seamless fiberglass roof for leak-resistance and great aerodynamics, but with just a single axle frame and lighter weights, giving it great versatility.

The VML has tinted safety glass windows, a large bumper with sewer hose storage, and an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water.

The multi-directional LED-lighted 11’ power awning and two marine-grade speakers make for a nice outdoor space to sit and enjoy the views and a meal. If you enjoy a little al fresco barbecue, add on the optional swing-out bumper mount grill. At nighttime, you’ll appreciate the porch light and lighter safety step. The VML is pre-wired for solar and a backup camera, and is also set-up for cable and satellite hook-up.

Inside the SL149VML, you get 82” of headroom, just like the Sonic line. There is high-efficiency LED lighting throughout and residential 8000 BTU A/C.

The SL149VML kitchen and living area has all the amenities you need, plus some luxury touches and, despite its size, plenty of cabinet and storage space. The rear kitchen offers lots of seamless countertop and sink-cover workspace for a smaller trailer. There’s a 4.2-cubic-foot refrigerator, a two-burner cooktop with vented range hood, and a convection microwave. The hand-glazed cabinet doors and mosaic backsplash gives the space a residential feel. You have a choice between two interior upholstery packages in neutral warm brown tones.

A great little free-standing fold-away table in the dinette area tucks right into the cabinet, giving you the extra floor space when you need it. The two chairs can also be folded-up and tucked away.

A Bluetooth stereo has DVD/CD/MP3 and AM/FM radio is mounted into the kitchen cabinets. If you want a little more entertainment, add on the optional LED television with swing-arm bracket. There are USB chargers in the living area and the bedroom.

The center bathroom has a porcelain toilet with foot flush, a skylight in the shower, and a power vent.

In the bedroom area, comfort isn’t compromised for space; the Queen-size bed has a memory foam mattress and a padded headboard with storage. There’s more storage overhead, as well as a shirt closet on the driver side, pass-through storage on the passenger side, and a shoe cubby as well. Designer window valances, pleated nightshades, and maple hardwood doors all add a nice homey touch to the space.

The Venture Sonic Lite SL149VML starts at about $22,000. For more information, visit www.venture-rv.com.
