The 2018 Venture Sonic is a lightweight, double-axle travel trailer that’s meant to be paired with smaller tow vehicles, but kitted out with the amenities of a motorhome. Of the seven floorplans available, the Sonic SN220VBH has a set of bunk beds and is one of several with a Murphy bed option, making the most of the trailer’s space.

The Venture Sonic SN220VBH has an unloaded vehicle weight of 4200 lbs and a gross vehicle weight rating of 5200 lbs. It measures 10’3” high (with A/C unit), 26’5” long, and 90” wide. Its fresh water tank can carry 38 gallons, and each of its gray and black water tanks can hold up to 30 gallons. There is a six-gallon water heater and two 20 lb. propane tanks.

The roof of the Sonic 220VBH is one-piece seamless fiberglass, so there’s nowhere for water to seep in. Both the fiberglass roof and walls are ivory-color-infused so scratches are less visible. Other exterior features include tinted safety glass windows, large pass-through storage with slam-latch doors, and manual Secure Stance angled stabilizer jacks. The Sonic’s square bumper allows for sewer hose storage, and you can add a bumper-mount grill. You might also choose to add on an A-frame bike rack.

Setting up your outdoor living space, you have a 13’ manual awning (power awning optional), two marine grade exterior speakers, satellite and cable hook-up, and a hot/cold exterior shower. The trailer is also pre-wired for solar and a back-up camera, which is available as an add-on.

Inside, there’s plenty of comfortable living and sleeping space for your family of 4-6 and the 6’10” ceiling height makes it feel airy and open. For your entertainment, there’s Bluetooth enabled DVD/CD/MP3/AM/FM stereo with remote control, and two indoor speakers.

In the kitchen area, there’s everything you need to cook up a feast for your hungry band of adventurers. Appliances include a 6.3-cubic-foot refrigerator, two-burner cooktop with a glass cover, and vented range hood with a light. A microwave or convection microwave can be added as options. A seamless countertop and a cover for the double sink maximize your surface prep space, while the decorative tile backsplash and mountain walnut cabinets lend it a homey feel. There’s also a full-height pantry gives you plenty of space to store your dry staples. Across from the prep area, an ample U-shaped dinette booth can fit a crowd for game night and converts easily into comfortable sleeping for two at the end of the day.

At the back of the trailer, a set of bunk beds gives the kids their own space conveniently located right next to the bathroom for those midnight nature calls. In the bathroom, there’s a porcelain foot-flush toilet, residential radius shower with glass doors, and mirrored medicine cabinet, under-sink cabinet, and cubby space.

The main sleeping area of the Venture Sonic SN220VBH is at the front of the trailer. The standard floorplan comes with a queen bed, overhead and under-bed storage, and a shirt closet on each side. However, if you opt for the Murphy bed, during the day you’ll be able to flip it up out of the way and boost up your living area seating with the sofa.

If all of the great amenities in this travel trailer have you looking to spend as much time camping as possible, you can extend the season by opting for the 15,000 BTU A/C and/or the 13,500 BTU A/C.

The 2018 Venture Sonic SN 220VBH starts at about $19,000. For more information, please visit http://www.venture-rv.com/.
