Great Starter or Couples Camper
By Jay (I am an Owner) on Jan 07, 2018This was my first travel trailer. I wanted a very small TT with a full bathroom (not wetbath). I also liked the compact layout. It comes with some good features that are normally not found on the lower cost TTs. Four corner jacks not two. Large tanks (all). Roof AC. Solar prep. Full length awning. My ... wife and I completely removed all the dinette cushions and put a piece of heavy plywood down instead of the table. We then put a Full size residential pillow top mattress. We lost all but the small seating between the kitchen and where dinette started but it works for us. I love the camper and the under $10k price point. For what a pop-up would have cost I have a well appointed travel trailer. It also has more than enough storage inside for 2 people, a small dog, and 2 weeks at the beach. The outside has a pass through in front with good storage. While it does come with a bumper sewer hose holder I've found it doesn't fit any brands I've tried. About the only real ding is THERE ARE NO DRAWERS. Also, the inside while well built is very ho-hum and boring. The color scheme is brown with a side of dark green. The materials while of good quality have no design features.Rating breakdown

This is my FIRST travel trailer....
By Jay Raxter (I am an Owner) on Mar 19, 2017This is March of 2017 and I have been looking for a travel trailer for over 2 months. I had a few specific needs. No pop up, no hard side, no hybrid, and must have a full bath (no wet bath). I spent years and years in the Navy on submarines...so small spaces are not only NOT a problem but actually desirable. ... My wife, of course, wanted a 38 footer with 8 slide outs and a staff of four. I was looking at an ultralite or a Geo Pro in the 12-17 foot range. It's my first trailer. I wanted to spend a year or two just learning the ins and outs of trailer camping. Not only that but I was already going to several drag racing events that the wife didn't want to go to. So..the search was on. Camping world, Campers Inn, and several other large multi-site dealers. To make a long story short and get on with this review...I was not impressed that the exact same trailers with the exact same loadouts varied by thousands. I went to a smaller dealer who had a very nice selection. They are the ones who really went through my choices and drug me through several trailers. The owner really listened to me. She took me straight to both the 14R and the 15FL. The 14R was a 2016 and the 15FL was a left over 2015. That didn't matter to me. They have the same color and appliances. This is at my target weight of mid-2000. It had fairly large tanks (bigger than all the Geo Pro's). The smaller width meant I didn't have to put towing mirrors on. The super light weight and electric brakes meant I was easily able to tow this with my 1/2 ton Ram 1500 with no mods. I just ad to switch the ball between my work trailer and off I could go. The Clipper 15FL came with lot's of bigger trailer features. 13.5k AC. Front window. Gas water heater. Spare tire, 2 way fridge AND freezer. The usual sink, microwave, and two burner stove. AND a full bathroom and mini-tub (for my dogs>. The only bed is the dinette but I plan on using a rollable thick topper. Since this is a wood frame and aluminum exterior you can get a LOT of trailer for little money. Everything worked and the only problem I had on my first overnight was the bathroom door rubbed the LED light. Got home, removed the door, sanded it, and problem fixed. This camper is set up for a few days off the grid. The large fresh water tank, LED lights, dometic fridge, furnace, and water heat sip the LP. It comes with a prewired Zamp Solar plug and a 20 watt solar panel keeps my battery topped off. An inexpensive 3500 watt generator will run everything including the AC. REALLY happy with this trailer...especially since I paid under $9k for it.Rating breakdown
