Dutchman Kodiak 214 by Thor
By Carl (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2018Having had a Kodiak 214 for more than three years now I can give some feedback. Overall we have been very happy with this Kodiak and the floor layout is one of the best we could find for space, usability and storage for a family of four. For a trailer that is only 21’ with the bunk ends folded up ... it becomes ~28’ of usable linear space with the bunks down. Our kids now aged 7 & 9 refer to their room because of the distance and separation to the end bunk at the far end. The long slide out gives a long middle channel of space running almost the whole length of the trailer. Stock storage is ok with a large pantry that can be made more usable by installing shelves that divide the height in two. Given that space and storage are always a premium in rv trailers Kodiak left a lot of dead space sheathed in that we have modified and recovered on our trailer. Overall build quality is very good and we have had very few issues with the trailer itself. A broken latch here and there which are easily replaced by stock generic parts. Large windows and the tent ends give lots of light which we really appreciate.Rating breakdown
