Happy Camper with amenities. Quality could have been better.
By BM Burkhart (I am an Owner) on Jun 21, 2014Overall, I am happy with this unit, but unfortunately, I was in a huge rush when I bought this RV. Not a good thing. Both the Dealership and I overlooked several key things that I should have made sure were taken care of before ever leaving the lot and heading across the country for an extended work ... assignment. I ended up with a list of things needing attention that ended up being 19 items long. Most were surface issues, but two major things that were quite serious were the Shower and the dinette booth seats. Neither could support my weight. It just felt like the unit was built on a late Friday, or early Monday... The shower pan is obviously only designed to handle people up to about 200-250 pounds. I asked repeatedly if this was going to be an issue, and I was assured it would not. My first shower was 1,100 miles later. the floor flooded because the shower pan flexed excessively, causing the drain pipe to bottom out and come apart. It took three different mobile technicians to finally get it fixed, but eventually, the entire shower had to be pulled out and be re-decked with what should have been in there in the first place. 3/4" decking with multiple legs to support it. The dealer did add support to the booth seats at my request. Now for the good things... I chose this unit because of the weight and floor plan, mostly. Very few units were light enough to pull with my 2011 Ford Flex. Most that were would have been so cramped, I would have gone crazy. Key positive items were the size of the unit itself, the size of the corner shower and toilet, a separate freezer (not inside the ref), a gas oven, three wardrobes, well, one large and two shirt beside the bed, a walk-around Queen bed and a full fiberglass exterior that I wouldn't have to worry about hail damage to. Also, the graphics design on the exterior is quite appealing, and the Ginger interior is subtle, masculine (without being "man-cavish"), and roomy enough to do my work and still eat dinner (as long as it's just me). I would recommend this unit to anyone needing enough room to "live" in for an extended period of time without having to go into extended hock! Oh.... If I had a magic wand to wave, for sure there would be things I would change, but after looking at a go-zillion units now, I am happy with the unit based on my needs and ability to pay. I also want to commend my dealer for making sure all repairs were taken care of, even from a distance, and promise to fix the few items left when I get back to Texas. Dealer is Funtown RV in Cleburne, TX. Darren Pack, sales. Happy Trailering!Rating breakdown
