WOW! after three years and 30,000 miles
By Ed Herbert (I am an Owner) on Jun 21, 2018After three years on traveling in our Itasca Ellipse Ultra motorhome, we still find ourselves saying "Wow!" The RV still attracts many compliments from other RVers. They are impressed the RV is not new as the paint job is still unique and beautiful. When they learn it is 3 years old with 30,000 ... miles, it impresses them even more. After 3 years, we still love the floorplan. We still love driving it (and yes, we both drive the motorhome). We still have a new smell when entering the motorhome, something we work hard to keep. We spend 6 months a year traveling in our motorhome. And when we are relaxing outside, eating, watching TV or simply sitting under the expansive awnings, totaling 35' on the passenger side, we have looked at each other in amazement that we own this incredible machine. Prior to this motorhome, we had a small Class A gas, a 38' diesel and a 40' diesel. We liked each of them very much but when we went to RV shows around the country, we were looking for something. That something was the floorplan we had in our 2011 Winnebago Journey in a tag axle. Add the other amenities in the Itasca (Winnebago) Ellipse Ultra and, honestly, we have not been moved to really consider another motorhome in the last three years. We are very pleased and happy with the 2015 Itasca (Winnebago) Ellipses Ultra 42 QL. This is a keeper for us for many years to come.Rating breakdown

Top of the Winnebago (Itasca) Line
By Teresa Herbert (I am an Owner) on Jul 29, 2016Winnebago is not known for this kind of motorhome. People are always surprised when they learn our Ellipse Ultra, with Itasca on the front, is actually a Winnebago. Powerful engine at 450hp, 10K Generator, three AC units, great exterior storage, wonderful awnings that come off the roof and reach way ... out, wonderful floor plan, large kitchen, love the residential refrigerator, large shower, king bed, drives like it is on air (I guess it is), independent front suspension, and with the premium paint (it came this way, we didn't order it), people are always stopping by to tell us how it is one of the prettiest RVs they have ever seen. We didn't expect the reaction we have had over the last 18 months. It has not had any problems. Even the recalls were minor and easy to get fixed. This was a major investment from an RV we loved to putting a lot on the line for this tag axle RV. But, after all the miles we have put on it, we LOVE this RV. It was the top of Winnebago's line and yes, Winnebago makes an incredible RV for a lot less than a comparable RV (Dutch Star, Allegro Bus, Anthem, etc). Plus, we like that Winnebago can make any piece that breaks with their inventory process AND Winnebago never went out of business or bankrupt. Strong company that made us a motorhome we LOVE. Did we mention we LOVE our 2015 Ellipse Ultra from Winnebago (Itasca)? We do.Rating breakdown

Outstanding Motorhomes
By Edward Herbert (I am an Owner) on Jul 29, 2016When we looked at the Itasca (now just Winnebago) Ellipse Ultra, we were firmly entrenched in our Winnebago Journey 40U. We had looked at what it would cost to install the Girard awnings to our 2011 but it was over $20K. Then we saw the Ellipse Ulta 42QL.Two quick things. One is that our is the premium ... Bronze Halo with the Afterhours interior. We have been stopped close to 100 times where the person tells us this is the most beautiful RV they have ever seen. Ever seen. And some of those were Entegra, Newmar, Tiffin, Newell and even Prevost owners. Two is that when people learn it was made by Winnebago, they seem disappointed. They cannot believe the beautiful, luxurious Motorhome was made by the people who built the Brave and Chieftain. Their mind is stuck on our grandfather's Winnebago, not the company it is today. Our Motorhome has great power with a 450hp Cummins engine. Wonderful Carefree Paramount awnings the length of the passenger side. Independent front suspension. Many technical features found on buses that cost much more. We love this RV. With 13,000 miles on it, we cannot imagine our next Motorhome as this Motorhome has exceeded our expectations. While our friends head to Red Bay or Indiana, we have been blessed with a well built RV. It has been fun to drive, to stay in, to work in and it has not let us down. We love the floor plan with the extendable sofa, the fireplace, the large kitchen counters, king sized bed, full and half baths, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and the outside - tons of exterior storage and those awnings!!! Outstanding Motorhome!Rating breakdown
