Upgraded from a 2008 MXT 264R
By Jody Gilbert (I am an Owner)KZ-MXT has come a long way in 5 years. I loved my 2008 except the floorplan & layout. The new model is perfectly spaced to give a more open feel. The added slope beyond the ramp keeps my bikes from bottoming out as they did in the previous model. I definatley recomend MXT if your looking for a quality ... toy hauler for a resonable price. Not to mention the best looking exterior.Read More -
MXT 266 problems
By James Nielson (I am an Owner)KZ 266 I purchased had the following issue on inspection.asses hole for Genarator Gas line was not pluged from the factory, all penatrations under the trailer were not sealed,Roof seams and vent/ penatration on roff were not properly sealed, this would lete a small amount of water under vents and penatration. ... when a freeze happens the roof would have leaked. seal around door, porch light bulbs are special amber. Dealers do not carry and parts store wants to to order 100. only the kitchen window come with blind hold down's. Toilet paper roll holder not installed, i believe this is because they can not figure out were to install. Seals around rear drop door poor lets lots of dust in unit. furnance did not work, found small peace of plastic in propane line which pluged orfice, gas line under trailer for Genarator not protected from rubbing against frame. trailer Brake wire to rear axle to short and rubbing on frame,when going over uneven ground trailer brake wire would have broke. Black grey and fresh water sensor Intermitant/ not working, wood panel under sink not properly supported or secured. Slide out wireing not in a harness. slide out wiper has a large gap by slide rail providing a entry for mice and rats, plus letting cold air in to freeze the water lines under sink. Rain gutter over slide stops directly over air Vent for toy compartment. if you have this vent open you have Water in the toy compartment. rear door lacther are for Tall people. so make sure you are at least 5,6 or take a step stool, srews in screen door striped out, the front storage rack is nice but you can not use a Curt weight distrabution hitch as you can not get it latched. this is a short list of what we found wrong after we bought this toy hauler. McClain RV does not carry any Parts as well so be prepared to wait for repairs to be copleted I have only had this Trailer for 5 day's The PDI list should not have been this long being New from the factory,Read More
