Poor Thor quality. Look elsewhere.
By Aaron Casady (I am an Owner) on Nov 09, 2020We bought our Thor Axis new at the RV show in Pomona. We've had nothing but problems with it. Poor design and really poor build quality. We've battled a host of expensive electrical problems. We got stranded on a lonely desert road in the middle of nowhere because the gear shifter cable was draped ... over the exhaust and melted, rendering the gear shift lever inoperative. Have had alignment problems with the slide out and the descending bunk bed. Had the shower drain spring a leak in the middle of a trip. Less than a year after buying this pile of junk, the decals went bad. You could clearly see the fingerprints of the installers that turned a dark burgundy under the white and clear areas of the decals. The decals look like a bloody crime scene. We sent photos to Thor and talked to numerous customer service reps. They sent us a package of decals and said we were on our own to get them installed. Do not buy a Thor and definitely don't buy an Axis. Their product design and build quality are the worst and their customer service is even worse. They clearly do not stand behind their product.Rating breakdown

Junk
By never buy ford/thor again (I am an Owner) on Jul 17, 2015pre ordered a Thor Axis November 2014 flew down to elkheart, ID. to pick it up on April 5 2015.motor home was NOT as ordered, took it anyways as had a planed trip, within 50 miles engine light came on, as stated in contract Ford is responsible for all warranty on engine, drive line & chassis warranty, ... every ford dealer/shop refused to even look at it. motor home had wires hanging down in engine and Wheel wells wiring harness had not been secured, center console had not been secured, dash temperature controls fell out, at 11k miles it had to be towed, shift linkage was burnt in half as it had been installed wrong and had been against the exhaust manifold, both front tires where worn to the belts as no one aligned the front end, have not been able to use motor home since September 24 2015 the roof leaked and also had water leaking into the wall by the drivers seat. have list over 40 items that where wrong with the motor home. the bathroom sink and shower are connected to the black tank instead of the grey tank, so black tank fills up while grey tank stays empty.Rating breakdown

First Time buyers
By Janet Duvall (I am an Owner) on Nov 16, 2014My husband and I did a lot of research before we brought this 25.1 Thor Axis coach. We didn't want to go "big" and the 25.1 seemed to fit the bill. We are impressed with the overall front windshield, graphic package, interior layout, color scheme, up-to-date computer functions and interior layout. ... The negatives include: inside poor quality control, heater vent house completely ripped, slide out does not totally close, pantry closet not lined up correctly, shower curtain (ugly) instead of shower door that were standard on the prior model, velco on all cushions comes off. Outside included: mud flap by passenger side melted from exhaust pipe. It drives well, still so new that mileage is hard to tell. It is a good fit for for 2 people and a Boxer.Rating breakdown

Avoid Thor
By Dissatisfied Thor Owner (I am an Owner) on Nov 08, 2014bought a brand new Thor Axis in April, special ordered 6 months prior, flew to Indiana to pick it up and was not the motor home I ordered, decided to take it anyways, didn't even get 50 miles and the engine light came on, engine and chassis are built by and warrantied by FORD, not a single ford shop ... would even look at it. the body exterior and interior are falling apart, it is currently parked and can not be driven, both front tires have belts exposed on inside neither ford or thor will fix the front end problems or replace the tires.Rating breakdown
