Just a caution!
By Anne (I am an Owner) on Dec 04, 2016We purchased our 2012 Jayco X213 new and have used it happily for 5 summers. We love the features and layout - all in all it's been a great trailer. We took it in for regular winterizing this fall and asked to have the caulking on back corners checked as it seemed to be coming loose. The RV service ... centre we use discovered that most of the screws holding the back wall to the side walls had either come loose or broken, so essentially the back wall was about to fall off. They took the back wall off and repaired all the screws but found the back wall was still leaning out when the rear slide was out. They had to take the sofa, dinette, water heater and side windows out, and remove the interior walls. They discovered the back wall was screwed into a 1" piece of aluminum - there was no further structure for another 4.5' in on the side walls - just the inside and outside walls glued to the insulation. This is nowhere near enough structure to support the large rear slide, and allowed the whole back end of the trailer to flex when the slide is out. 16.5 hours of labour later ($$$$) they have added more aluminum and wood structure both vertically and horizontally to support the weight of the slide. There are two cautions here - 1) it's an ultra light trailer - the weight is saved by reducing structure 2) the rear slide is deep and heavy to be supported by a wall with no structural support This has been a lesson learned for us - hope we can save someone else the financial and emotional stress.Rating breakdown

Big Space Feel in a smller package!!
By Diane Grubbs (I am an Owner) on Sep 07, 2012This has been the perfect trailer for us as first time trailer owners!! It has the feel of a much larger unit, but tows, manovers through city streets, and parks easily with our Tahoe. We love the bunk room area for grandkids, or doubles as a bike storage area when the bottom bunk is folded up. The ... king size slide-out is great. The design lets us access the bathroom and kitchen even when the side-out is in. Many sites have limits on RV sizes and this one is never a problem! We can park, set up in 15 minutes with the automatic awning and sideout, be un-hitched and relaxing and exploring with ease!Rating breakdown
