May RV Shipments Up 13.4%

The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association reports that RV shipments were up an impressive 13.4% in May to 37,955 units, compared to 33,467 units in May of 2015. This marks the ninth consecutive monthly improvement and is the best May total in 10 years.
Total RV shipments in 2016 have reached 186,214 units through May 31, which is 10.3% more than the same period last year (168,884). The biggest annual gains have come from Class C motorhomes (23.6% improvement) and travel trailers (12.7% improvement). The only segment that is down year over year is truck campers (3.2% decrease).
