According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, the positive surge for RV shipments in 2014 has continued through first quarter 2015. Shipments climbed to 97,074 units, 7.9% ahead of the same period last year.

According to RVIA’s March 2015 survey of manufacturers, 2015 first quarter shipments were – on a seasonally adjusted basis – running at an annualized rate of 387,000, 8% ahead of last year’s strong pace.

Towables were ahead 7.9% (from 78,846 to 85,111) and motorhomes were ahead slightly, with totals for each category in that segment comparable to those from last year’s “scorching growth trend.”

In March alone, wholesale shipment of all RVs spiked 8.5% to 36,535 units, the best March totals since 2007.
