A Jacksonville, Fla. man has learned the hard way that RVs are not the ideal vehicles for launching a boat.

According to a report from WOKV.com the owner was trying to sell the vehicle and demonstrate to a potential buyer that the RV could launch a boat from a ramp. Things quickly got out of hand.

“Suddenly it got caught on the slit and slid on down and I lost control of it,” the owner told WOKV.com.

The RV would up launching itself into the Ortega River. It took divers and tow crews almost 11 hours to get the RV back to dry land.

As you may suspect, the sale was not completed.
