Winnebago Industries’ new Trend motorhome made its debut last week at the Hershey RV Show in Hershey, Pa.

“We had phenomenal interest in the new Winnebago Trend Class C motorhome introduced at Hershey,” says Winnebago Industries Vice President of Sales and Product Management Scott Degnan. “Though small in size, this motorhome made a huge impact at its first retail show. While I was on site at the show, we had a continuous line of people waiting to take their first look at the new Trend, and their response to the vehicle’s unique features was overwhelmingly positive. Downsizers and first time buyers were especially attracted to the compact size and had many positive comments about the creative use of space and the fresh, open feeling of the new interiors.”

“The powered loft beds were going up and down hundreds of times each day; customers really appreciated that this comfortable, large bed operated so easily and was practically invisible in the stored position,” says Russ Garfin, Winnebago Industries product manager for the Trend and Viva!. “Another great feature that got a lot of attention was that there are two, three-point seatbelts in the forward facing dinette, providing the ability to secure two child seats. This is an industry-first and very important to young families looking for their first motorhome. The all new Ram ProMaster also got rave reviews for its well-designed cab area with great visibility, advanced safety features and the easy access made possible by a flat cab floor and swivel-in-place cab seats. Also, the five-year, 100,000-mile drive train warranty and 14-16 mpg highway fuel economy helped to make the new Trend just what many customers have been looking for.”

The Winnebago Trend and Itasca Viva! are built on the new Ram ProMaster chassis with fuel-efficient V6 Pentastar gas engine and 9,350 lb. GVWR, six air bags in the cab for added safety, comfortable cab seats and panoramic front windows for improved driving visibility. With MSRP starting at approximately $88,650, Winnebago says the Trend and Viva! are affordable entries into the RV lifestyle with comfortable living space for up to six people.

Available in two 24′ floorplans, both feature a powered StudioLoft bed that lifts tight to the ceiling to conserve space during the day. Other features include energy-saving LED lighting and available Ultraleather furniture. The 23B offers front swivel cab seats, a sofa/bed and dinette, a large, full-featured mid-coach galley and rear bath. Two large sleeping spaces provide sleeping for four adults with the Queen size front loft bed and a King size Flex Bed System. The 23L also features swivel cab seats expanding the living area of the motor home, as well as a forward-facing dinette on the driver’s side and a side-facing dinette bench seat on the curb side of the unit. Together these seating spaces convert into one sleeping space. Additional sleeping space is available with the rear corner bed and front Studio Loft bed. A mid-coach L-shaped galley is full featured and has a forward facing sink.
