The Winnebago eRV2 is a prototype RV based on the Ford E-Transit van and was recently displayed at the RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida. Utilizing a proprietary battery system, the eRV2 is touted as the most human-centric RV that Winnebago has ever created.

While the original eRV prototype was based on a Lightning eMotors chassis and battery package, the new eRV2 utilizes a Ford E-Transit platform, plus a proprietary battery system called IonBlade.

The IonBlade house battery system provides zero-emission power to both the drivetrain and the house. According to Winnebago, it has up to seven days of boondocking capability. Located beneath the floor of the RV, Winnebago says this battery system is powerful, compact, and safe, more so than any other battery system currently available.

The new Winnebago Connect smartphone app gives the user smart RV control and automatic energy management in one connected package.

Winnebago says that years of research and development have led to the eRV2 being the most human-centric RV that the company has ever created. Simple, intuitive, yet sophisticated, the eRV2 is also built using sustainable materials for a reduced impact on the environment.
