What happens when Airstream and Eddie Bauer have a fling? A love child is born; The 2014 Airstream Eddie Bauer has inherited Airstream’s innovative design and Eddie Bauer’s adventurous spirit.

Only two floorplans are available to choose from. Your first option is Eddie Bauer and your second option is Eddie Bauer Extended. At an exterior length of 28’, the Eddie Bauer Extended is slightly longer than its brother, adding space for storage and comfort. The Extended has an exterior width of 8’5.5”, interior width of 8’1”, exterior height (with A/C) of 9’7”, and interior height (with A/C) of 6’5”. Its hitch ball height is 18.25” and hitch weight is 885 lbs. The Eddie Bauer Extended has a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,800 lbs and a net carrying capacity of 1,825 lbs. Tank capacities for both floorplans are the same: the fresh water capacity is 39 gallons; black water capacity is 39 gallons; gray water capacity is 37 gallons; and water heater capacity is 6 gallons.

Airstream is famous for its smooth and subtle curves. Luckily, the Eddie Bauer Extended has inherited Airstream’s sexy figure. Just like its Airstream siblings, the Eddie Bauer edition has a bright aluminum finish on its body and a white aluminum finish on its roof. The chrome beltline comes with a green insert and the chrome rubrail comes with a chrome insert.

Eddie Bauer looks good from head to toe; roof to wheel. The styled aluminum wheels have a black accent and feature radial black wall tires. Although the Eddie Bauer is a head-turner, it still leaves room for the imagination. For example, its underbelly and tanks are enclosed and the window on the front door is opaque. The Airstream Eddie Bauer edition likes to play it safe so it comes with protective wheel well cladding and stainless steel wrap protectors. Its exterior service port is equipped with a quick disconnect hose and adapter fitting. Since cleanliness is important, an exterior shower comes standard, so before you climb the steel step and bust open the main door you can rinse the mud off your feet.

For your safety, the entry door has a keyed deadbolt. Once you open it, you’ll find yourself in the living area, lit up by the solar gray panoramic windows, Vista View windows and portal windows. With so many windows, you’ll feel like you’re eating, washing and sleeping in the wild outdoors. If you want privacy, then close the drapes and roll down the shades. The sofa, equipped with Eddie Bauer quilted cushions, is the perfect place to kick back and watch your 26” LED TV. If you can’t live without entertainment, then you’ll be thankful for the radio antenna, Blue Ray DVD/CD Player, cable satellite hook-ups, and sub-woofer. To maximize space, the lounge and dinette seats are foldable.

Adventurous road trips require a lot of fuel and we’re not talking petrol. If you want to spend the day climbing mountains, your body needs a few healthy meals. With a 7 cu. ft. refrigerator, there’s plenty of room to store your fruits and veggies. Prepare dinner on the oiled soapstone laminate galley top, which houses a round bowl sink. Once you’re ready to cook, throw your dinner in a pan and place it on the three-burner cooktop or in the oven, which comes with a stainless steel door. A pantry sits beside the stove, where you can store cans, condiments and anything else that doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Take a fork and spoon from your cutlery drawer, equipped with a hardwood maple drawer organizer, and eat dinner at the dinette. For extra storage space, the Airstream Eddie Bauer put a wardrobe beside the fridge that can fit larger, more cumbersome belongings. Cabinets throughout the space have satin nickel bar pulls, which add elegance to the functional interior.

After a sweaty day outdoors, you’ll need a shower. The bathroom comes with a towel bar, towel ring and a robe hook. As well, the hinged bath door features an aluminum framed and riveted portal window. If you’re spending weeks, months or years in your Airstream Eddie Bauer, then you’ll be thrilled that the shower is equipped with a retractable clothing line. When Mother Nature doesn’t permit you to dry your clothes outdoors, bring them to the bathroom. A mirrored medicine cabinet hangs above the stainless steel round lavvy sink.

Last but not least, let’s take a short tour of the bedroom. With a queen-size bed and two nightstands, what more can you ask for? Well, you can ask for an LED television, which comes at an extra price. The bed comes with a pillow top foam mattress, fitted sheets, and a duvet that features a goose down comforter. There are four throw pillows with shams and one bolster. If you need extra storage space, then you’ll be thrilled about the removable storage bins, located under the bed.
