2015 Coachmen Prism 24M Review
Explore the open road in style with the 2015 Coachmen Prism. Its combination of power and function make it an ideal companion for road trips.
Out of four floorplans, we decided to explore the 24M. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 11,030 lbs and a gross combined weight rating of 15,250 lbs. For liquids, the 24M has a fuel capacity of 26 gallons, fresh water capacity of 35 gallons, gray water capacity of 28 gallons, and black water capacity of 32 gallons. For measurements, the Coachmen Prism 24M has an exterior length of 24’10”, exterior height of 10’8”, and exterior width of 94”.
Built for road trips of all lengths and climates, the Coachmen Prism’s quality matches its looks. It features a laminated aluminum-framed floor and roof. The roof is also vacuum-bonded, crowned and equipped with a TPO membrane. Color-infused high gloss exterior fiberglass sidewalls feature Azdel Composite panels instead of wood. Azdel panels are composed of polypropylene and fiberglass, which create a strong and lightweight wall. Front and rear caps come in molded fiberglass. Runningboards and fender skirts are also made of fibreglass, while the front sunroof is equipped with a nightshade. Finished off with exterior vinyl graphics, the Coachmen Prism 24M should turn heads on the road. A window, deadbolt lock, and lighted exterior grab handle are found on the entrance radius entry door. The steel entry step has a built-in, easy-to-access battery compartment. For storage, the 24M has slam latch exterior storage compartment doors and a Warehouse Rear Roto Cast storage compartment with an LED light.

Both driver and passenger seats come in two-tone Ultra Leather and to your convenience, they swivel all the way around. To help you stay energized, turn on the touch screen radio equipped with a color back-up monitor, dash speakers and Sirius satellite radio. The dash is decorated with wood grain appliques and has air conditioning. Other comfort features include tilt steering wheel and cruise control option. Coachmen equipped every Prism model with the following essentials: fire extinguisher, propane leak detector alarm, smoke detector alarm, and carbon monoxide alarm. A seatbelt is located at every occupancy seat in the RV.
When you’re safely parked and ready to rest, swivel your driver’s seat around and relax in the lounge area. Equipped with two recliners, lounger, and Murphy bed, there is ample room to spread out, stretch, and nap. Grab a magazine from the magazine rack or turn on the TV. The 24M is also equipped with an exterior entertainment center that includes a 24” TV/stereo/DVD/speakers.

Coachmen Prism’s interior is a cozy space. Its Platinum cabinetry and residential hardwood cabinet drawers and doors create a warm atmosphere, while the residential-style hardware modernizes the space. Select areas of the 24M feature décor glass, creating a glamorous feel. The space features upgraded Congoleum flooring and a vinyl soft-touch ceiling. Other design touches include sofa throw pillows and upgraded cushions.
Long trips require fuel for your RV and fuel for your belly. Instead of fuelling with fast food from gas stations, use the 24M’s kitchen to prepare a home-cooked meal. You can prepare food on the molded solid surface fiberglass countertops and in the composite double bowl sink. Cook on the Euro Style three-burner cook top, equipped with a lid and 16” oven. When dinner’s ready, serve it as the large u-shaped dinette. Store leftovers in the Euro Style three-way refrigerator. For quick reheating use the microwave. Extension roller bearing drawer guides are found throughout the RV, which means drawers are easy to open and close.

Coachmen outfitted the Prism bathroom with all the necessities, including a porcelain foot pedal flush toilet and a power bath vent. The shower features ABS shower surround, upgraded showerhead, and a skylight above. A single level lavatory faucet is found on a composite lavatory sink. Above is a lavatory mirror. You can hang your towel on the towel ring, your robe on the robe hook and your toilet paper on the holder. To clean off dirt before you enter your home, the 24M also has an exterior shower.
